Augustus looks around he cemetery as he holds orange tulips in his hands. The weather has gotten colder as the white flurry of snow falls down. He pushes his wheelchair around until he finds the shrine he was looking for. A stone sticking out of the ground, with a decoration of many kinds of flowers and a Teddy Bear.
"Hazel Grace Lancaster"
Augustus set the flowers down and started to kneel down. He rummaged his hands through his back pocket. He sat down, as he ran one hand over the engraved letters on the stone. He held two things in his pocket, and open one. He held the other item in his right hand. He flipped the box around in his hand, as he started to talk to the grave. He knew hazel could hear him.
"Hazel Grace" a small smile sifted across his face. "I love you so much, and I am so sorry. I should've been the one. I should've died. Now, it's not fair! HAZEL GRACE IT'S NOT FAIR. You deserve to live. Almost no fears in the world. When I laid in that hospital bed, as you laid in yours, I wish I could've had an exchange with God. I would've gave my life for you to be sitting on my grave. You deserved to live, you shouldn't have been taken away from here. I should've been the one to die. I was supposed to die, not you. THE CHRISTMAS TREE HAZEL. That was me, not you, you shouldn't have died. I should've. Why couldn't God accept my offer of letting you live when I died. You had almost no fears. Everyone was just, they weren't you. Please come back. Okay?"
~ Hazel sat up in the clouds as she stared down at Augustus. She gave Augustus his life back. Made her deal with God. "Okay."~
He held the cigarette up to his mouth. The empty cemetery around Augustus gave him the power to do anything. He took the other item up to a cigarette. A tear shed down his face.
The flame hit the cigarette.
The cigarette was ignited.
"I love you Hazel Grace"
