The Power of A Muggle
Lily Potter stepped outside the house of her sister Petunia and husband Vernon Dursley. She was holding her son Harry in her arms along with a scroll. It was just about 9:00 P.M. and it was about time to see if her gamble paid off to protect the life of her son. Her husband James came out and was followed by an important looking military man. He was General Clayton and he hoped to clean up the after effects of this evening.
As the grandfather clock in the house chimed 9:00 there was the sudden sound of cracks as black robed figures appeared on the street. Other black robed figures arrived in the air flying on brooms. The black robed figures would never find it odd that along the very quiet street there were parked black SUVs up and down privet drive. The last almost silent crack brought an evil looking man to the sidewalk in front of the house. He was the very feared Dark Lord Voldemort.
Voldemort said with a bit of a sneer and laugh, "Well, mudblood I got your message and have brought my faithful to see the end of you your husband and your son. I just don't see why you are giving up so easy."
Lilly replied, "I have not given up but tonight justice will be served."
Voldemort sneered, "Justice and how to propose that, that one military man next to you has no power of me. Let alone my followers."
Lily continued, "I have something to read then we can get on with this evenings activities if you don't mind."
The dark Lord laughed, "By all means, I came all this way to listen to your prattle, but then it will be your end."
Lily said, "Very well." She then opened up the scroll and read,

We find those person's who have taken upon themselves the dark mark as members of Mr. Riddle's Army to be guilty of treason, insurrection and sedition.
We find that those members of your society that give aid, resources, or other help to be guilty of collaboration with the enemy.
Therefore as proscribed under section D subsection 4 the following punishments are given.
That the magic for ten generations is forfeit and cast out of Tom Marvolo Riddle and any of his descendents.
That the magic for three generations is forfeit and cast out of those members that bear the dark mark of Tom Marvolo Riddle.
That the magic for one generation is forfeit and cast out of those members of society that gave aid, resources, or other help to Tom Marvolo Riddle and his followers.

Lily then held Harry's hand and placed an X on the bottom of the page.
She continued, "I will now sign as a witness as well as my husband." She signed below her son X and handed the scroll to her husband who also signed.
Voldemort said, "What empty words and silliness. With what power can that stop me."
Lily then whispered to her son, "Say the words that I taught you say Harry."
Harry then with a soft child's voice barely able to make the pronunciation said, "So mote it be."
As Voldemort was about to continue his evil laugh a way of power tore across the street. In the next instance the people on brooms fell out of the air and Tom collapsed on the street.
Lily then said, "General, can you clean up this mess?"
General Clayton answered, "With pleasure madam."
