~Sin Collector: Daughter of Sin~

Prologue

It was another moonless night. The stars were hardly visible; the city lights dominated their shine and had decided to light the city on their own—without the celestial objects' help. Suddenly, as though a light switch had been flipped, the glows of the active capital went out, leaving the stars to guide the citizens to their destinations.

On top of the highest skyscraper, a small figure awaited for the right chance to pounce on her prey. She waited silently as her crimson orbs scanned the city for any movements. It was like she could see more than what the human eye could, and she used that advantage well.

Her eyes closed and rested beneath her eyelids. As if on cue, the sound of blood dripping from a knife echoed silently throughout the city and to her ears. She opened her eyes once more and smiled maliciously. It was finally time for some action after several peaceful nights.

The figure jumped off from the skyscraper. With eyes gleaming with excitement and golden brown hair flowing through the air, she landed neatly onto the roof of a nearby building. Without a second of hesitation, a pair of jet black wings sprouted from her back and she flew, literally flew, to her destination.

Her feet fell onto the pavement with a faint thump while she folded her wings.

"Who's there?" asked the man. She could see the outline of his body raise his bloodied weapon. "I know you're there!" He added with a terrified tone. She smiled and held in a chuckle. She could feel the human's quick heart beat—a sign of terror flowing into his body.

"I see that you have sins carved in your history…" She whispered, eyeing the knife. She spoke with a voice of mist but at the same time, it sliced through the night air like a blade. The man, now breathing quickly, said,

"Who—who are you?"

"I am…the Daughter of Sin."

The next day started with a man's terrified scream.
