Liam Waters had just received the news that they had orders from that despicable Slynt to aid the Redcloaks in killing Stark guardsmen the next day. Like most Goldcloaks, Liam had grown up in King's Landing. He had been a young boy when his sister and mother had been raped by Lannister Redcloaks, his father and older brother had been killed when they tried to defend them. Liam sought out the other Goldcloaks who were to be a part of the group coming to the Red Keep.
"Who here wants to help the Lannister filth?" Liam asked, "because I know I most certainly don't."
"I remember the sack", Daeron the Tall replied, "I agree with Liam. I refuse to fight alongside Redcloaks."
"I say we give them a message tomorrow", the Redjon added, "King's Landing remembers."
"King's Landing remembers", Duncan and the Blackjon agreed.
The six men began making arrangements to ensure that only likeminded Goldcloaks would be among them the next day.
"Those were the king's words", Ser Barristan stated, after the queen had ripped apart the proclamation.
"We have a new king now", Cersei replied, "Lord Eddard, when we last spoke, you gave me some counsel, allow me to return the favor. Bend the knee, my lord. Bend the knee and swear fealty to my son, and we shall allow you to step down as Hand and live out the rest of your days in the grey waste you call a home."
"Would that I could", Eddard Stark replied, "your son has no claim to the throne he sits. Lord Stannis is Robert's true heir."
"Liar", Joffrey screamed, enraged.
"Mother, what does he mean?" Myrcella asked, "isn't Joff the king now?"
"You condemn yourself with your own mouth, Lord Stark", Cersei said, "Ser Barristan, seize this traitor.
Twenty Stark guardsmen surrounded Ser Barristan who hesitated, lord Stark gave the orders to his guardsmen and the Goldcloaks to arrest the queen and her son. After a nod by Liam, swords were held to Janos Slynt and Petyr Baelish' necks. The rest of the Goldcloaks attacked the Redcloaks and the Kingsguards.
"King's Landing remembers", Liam yelled as he attacked, the other Goldcloaks took up the same war cry.
Goldcloaks spread through the Red Keep, killing all the Redcloaks. An act that was soon taken up by the Goldcloaks in the city itself (often aided by the citizens). By the end of the day, Cersei and her children were the only Lannisters or Lannister bannermen alive within the city.
