This is my first published Fan Fic… Please don't be rude, leave me nice feedback. Please DON'T PLAGIARIZE THIS! I will become the Hulk and get angry! I love LIS, and just had this in my mind after playing both endings. I will most likely do an alternate ending story also. One-shot! PriceField! Enjoy!

Light rain pattered against the thin glass of the kitchen window, streaks dragging and distorting the image outside. Not that it was any better. Puddles of mud riddled the ground, the grass looking as though if it were seaweed in the ocean. Lightning struck a neighboring yard, the light flickering the small kitchen and the figure inside.

A girl, no older than nineteen leaned over the kitchen island, her fingers intertwined into a ball, her head pointed to the dark stone her elbows rested upon. Brown hair fell around her, hiding her pale complexion underneath. Blue eyes were surrounded by a tinge of red-ness, faint streaks of water had started to dry on her cheeks. Her pink blush had started to fade, leaving her cheeks to whiten.

Today was the day. The anniversary of the day it all went wrong. Everything she had done, everything she did that day-that week-was all for nothing. She tried so many ways to make things right, but the world, that place, wouldn't accept her changes. That place-she would never speak that accursed town's name again-had torn everything away from her.

"Max?" Her head tilted to the side, the girl in question raised her blue eyes to the other female in the dark kitchen. Pale, chapped lips opened, "Yes?" Her answer was quiet, withdrawn of any emotion except for sorrow. The other girl slowly made her way next to Max, sliding into the wooden bar-seat next to her.

"Today's the day, isn't it?" This time there was no answer, only silence clouded the room much like the sky. The other girl put her hand on Max's, unraveling her fingers to ravel her right hand with her own. They both sat there in the dark, no movement except for the tightening of holding hands.

"They're all gone Chloe. It's all my-" "Our fault. Not just yours Maxi-pad." The previously shorthaired girl spoke, turning in her seat. Her features were also showed signs of pink, blue and brown hair fell to her shoulders. "We made our choices Max." The short girl turned towards Chloe, knees bumping and hands tangling together. "I know."

Sad smiles and misted eyes greeted each other, foreheads resting against each other. The punks' smile widened more, happiness breaking apart any sadness that showed. "We've got each other Maximus." Blue eyes tilted up, a small smile breaking over her face. "I love you Chloe." A mischievous grin broke out upon the girls face as she looked at Max. "I know." A small laugh broke through Max's throat as she lightly shoved her best friend. A small, silver ring glinted on her left hand. She looked Chloe in the eyes, sorrowful no long. Chloe smiled back.

"You better."
