It was probably nine o'clock; Ayumi Shinozaki had her fingers wrapped around her pencil, her hands aching from the writing. She was catching up on assignments that had been long overdue, but with Ms. Yui as kind as she was, Ayumi was granted the privilege of one extra day to turn in her work.

She has her cellphone close to her work area, just laying around on the top of her nightstand. Ayumi heard the buzz and the classic jingle. Quickly reaching for it, she noticed a text, titled with the subject, 'Hello…'

It was from Mayu Suzumoto.

Ayumi flipped open her phone. She was quite close with Mayu. They met somewhere during their first years. Mayu was very into drama and always hung around with that one boy… Sakutaro, was it? Something similar to that.

[21:32] Suzumoto: Hi!

[21:33] Shinozaki: Hello.

[21:33] Suzumoto: What's up?

[21:34] Shinozaki: Studying. You?

[21:35] Suzumoto: Just got out from a bath.

[21:36] Shinozaki: Sounds nice.

[21:37] Suzumoto: And you're always hard at work, constantly studying, take a break for once!

[21:37] Shinozaki: I think I'm fine.

[21:40] Suzumoto: Here. :D [;pic]

[21:41] Shinozaki: What is this?

[21:42] Suzumoto: Just open it!

Hesitantly, Ayumi opened up the attachment. She had no idea what it would've been. It took a few seconds to really see what was going on, but Ayumi's face completely flushed a deep red, her cheeks as bright as a tomato. Her heart was caught in her throat, a surge of confusion and panic on her face.

The attachment was an innocent yet provocative picture. Mayu was looking up at her phone's camera with her brown hair sopping wet, clinging to her neck and barely reaching her shoulders. Her deep green eyes portrayed this innocent look, her pupils slightly dilated, lips pink and parted. A towel was sloppily wrapped around her body, hanging low as if it was just about to slip off at any second.

Maybe she was going to leave the towel. But that would've been even worse for Ayumi, since there has been this little crush she has had for the brunette for quite awhile. Puppy love, Ayumi had called it once, but perhaps Mayu shares the same feelings? Or is Ayumi just overanalyzing the situation?

Oh, what was she thinking, harboring feelings for an underclassman. Ayumi had other things to worry about. University. Finding an actual home when she planned to move out. Getting those assignments finished, for goodness sake.

[21:47] Suzumoto: Wait… you're Morishige, right?

Oh.

[21:49] Shinozaki: No, this is Ayumi Shinozaki.

[21:52] Suzumoto: Ah, I see. Please ignore the attachment, that was meant for him.

[21:53] Shinozaki: Okay.

[21:54] Suzumoto: If you did open it, could you just delete it and never talk about it again?

[21:54] Suzumoto: Please?

[21:55] Shinozaki: Deleted. Promise.

[21:57] Suzumoto: Thank you, Ayumi!

Ayumi's fingers somehow managed to find their ways to save the photo, her thumbs rubbing over the screen unconsciously as she looked down at Mayu's face. Her heart was pounding wildly— th-th-thump!— her body trembling from head to toe, Ayumi's throat so constricted that she could barely speak.

And she felt so bad, she really did.
