How to Live Happily Ever After

"I'm sorry," Said the handsome prince, "But it's just not going to work out.
The stepsisters gasped, the glass slipper lay forgotten on the floor. Cinderella's beautiful green eyes welled up with perfect, crystalline tears. The stepmother looked triumphant.
"Why?" She sobbed, her voice a singing flute. The prince shrugged awkwardly.
"Cindy, you're as beautiful as the morning sky, and as graceful as a dove. But your over-sentimental opinions and vapid plans of a happy-ever-after really don't do anything for me." He stepped back, watching her tears sparkle as she wept. "I'm going to be king, and I need someone who will be strong and...and helpful!"
One of the stepsisters stepped forward, not even needing to be prodded by her mother. "Your highness," she said, curtsying, "I hate to be bold, but I, personally, have always harboured plans for world domination."
The prince's eyes gleamed. "Perfect! We will conquer the world, my dearest! With all that money and power, we will truly live happily ever after!"
"Oh, how marvellous!"
