Their passion exploded as she pushed him onto the couch. His hands explored her back and chest and her lips explored his. He bit her neck gently and she groaned and arched her back. He took advantage of it and swiftly and gently rolled them to the floor. He pulled off her t-shirt and marveled at her soft white skin. She traced his tattoo with her finger absently and he saw fire in her eyes. There was still passion unsatisfied in her. Together they would unleash it.

When she awoke in the morning, the bed, which they had finally made it to sometime in the middle of the night, was empty except for her. She frowned, wondering if it could all have been a dream, if it was it was the best wet dream she'd ever had. Then she heard the clink of glasses and Chakotay entered the bedroom with a breakfast tray.

"Breakfast?"

"I'm starving," she said sitting up. She couldn't remember the last time she had eaten.

They ate in semi silence. Both of them had a lot to think about, but after they had finished their eggs she spoke honestly.

"I don't think we should tell the crew. Not yet."

"As you wish," he smiled that dimpled smile that always made her heart leap. "The parameters will be back in place."

The first day was the hardest. The hardest to rebuild their parameters and not let anything slip. How long could they keep it hidden from the crew? She kissed him softly, left her quarters with him at her side, and headed for the bridge.

"Captain on the bridge," Tuvok reported as they entered. "Good to see you Captain."

"Thank you Mr. Tuvok. Harry any signs of the end?"

"No Ma'am," Harry said with a smile and she could tell that her absence had an effect on them all.

She settled down into her chair, with him next to her, to wait out the void.

"Dinner tonight?" Chakotay asked leaning over.

"Of course," she said with a sly smile.

Time ticked by an hour, then two, she felt herself getting antsy, she left the bridge to Chakotay and went to her ready room hoping he would follow. Sure enough a few minutes passed and then there was a ring at her door.

"Come in," she said.

He entered with a smile on his face.

"I can't stand that much longer," she said crossing to him and putting her arms around his neck.

"Me either," he said and kissed her softly.

"You're turning out to be a great distraction."

"I'll take that as a complement," he chuckled.

"It was meant as one."

She pulled him close and kissed him. She was surprised to find how much he still smelled like New Earth.

In their passion they did not hear the door open behind them.

"Hem," came a soft voice.

They broke apart as though they was a fire between them. There, standing just inside the door, was Naomi Wildman.

"Um…" the little girl said.

"What can I do for you Naomi?" Kathryn said brushing off the front of her uniform, nervously trying to straiten it.

"I was…going to ask if you would come do a Flodder story with me, Captain. I know you're busy and-"

Kathryn smile and said,

"I think I can make time for my future Captain's Assistant. What time is your holodeck ration?"

"14:00 hours," the little girl said cheerily.

"I'll be there."

The little girl nodded and rushed from the ready room.

"Well, I guess the cat's out of the bag now," Kathryn said turning to her first officer.

"Good, then it won't hurt to distract you a little bit longer," he said with a smile as he softly kissed her neck.

"You are the best distraction."
