Discovering Family

Summary: Follow Courtney as she discovers family she never knew she had.Around the time where Carly'strying to discover a relationship with John.Everything's the same except for Courtney; she hasn't come to town yet. Oh and take Sam out of the picture. Jason's alone right now.

Chapter One:

Courtney scanned the room, looking for the man she was searching. She knew he was here; she talked to his secretary and found out that he was visiting a defendant in the hospital. She sat on the couch, her face covered by a newspaper. Where the hell was he, she just wanted to see him. She wanted to know what he looked like. Did he change at all after she left? Was his hair longer? Shorter? Gray, bald, what? Did his face change? Wrinkles? Laugh lines? Did he laugh after she left? He probably did. He was probably happy that she had gone. Still, she had to see him.

She glanced over as the elevator door dinged its arrival and opened. And there he was. He stepped off the elevator with a brunette about four inches shorter then he. Who was she? Was she his new girlfriend? She had discovered earlier that week that they had divorced. Was this woman the reason? Did he cheat on her? Pig bastard.

She stood and leaned against the corner so she was closer. She kept her head low so he didn't recognize her, all thought he probably wouldn't. They hadn't seen each other inten years. He most likely forgot about her the day after they discovered she was gone.

Why was she torturing herself this way? Why search for a man who didn't even care she existed? Why bother when he didn't even pay attention to her when she was around? So lost in the emotional, she didn't see him and the brunette heading her way until he bumped into her.

"Oh, I'm sorry," he said as he laid a hand on her arm to steady her.

John looked up at the young girl and was shocked at who he saw. "Courtney?"

Courtney stopped, cursing herself for not paying attention and revealing herself. "Hello, daddy. Surprise!" she said mockingly.

Carly Corinthos stared in shock as John Durant surveyed the young blond that just called him daddy.
