She stood there surrounded by ninjas. Ninjas that were AT LEAST jounin level, ninjas that were part of the Hyuuga clan, ninjas that were her FAMILY. Hinata Hyuuga stood in the middle of the circle with a sad expression in her eyes. She just stared at the man standing in front of her. She couldn't see her father anymore. Now all that was left was Hiashi Hyuuga
"Are you ready?"
Hinata bowed her head just enough so that her bangs were covering her eyes. "N-no, first I have a question to ask. D-did...did you ever cared for me? Was I ever a-anything else but a nuisance to you? W-was I ever anything else than the heiress that shamed the Hyuuga name?"
"No." As he finished saying this her head snapped up. With that one word Hinata's world came crashing down. It was as if she had just opened her eyes and for the first time saw her father. She stood there with her eyes open wide and stared at her father's cold eyes for what felt like an eternity. She couldn't find a trace of a lie, a trace of remorse; she couldn't find a trace of anything! She could feel tears threatening to fall down but she held them back. She would not let him have the satisfaction of seeing her cry.
"Y-you know," she said "w-when I was little, I used to think that y-you were tough on me because you w-wanted me to be strong so I wouldn't get hurt; as I -I grew I kept making s-silly excuses of why you treated me so badly, w-why you never seemed to care about me. I g-guess I was just trying to protect myself from the truth b-becasue, I just w-wanted you to l-love me." and with that she bowed her head again so that her eyes here hidden from the world. "I'm ready"
"Lets start then." With that the ninjas surrounding her started writing different kinds of symbols on the floor. Hinata didn't even notice them as they worked. She had never gotten angry before, only slightly irritated from time to time, but never had she ever truly experienced the raging fires of anger. But now... now she was furious. She closed her hands into fists so hard that her knuckles turned white. The tears that she was fighting were winning the battle to fall out of her eyes. She closed her eyes tightly in a futile attempt to keep the tears from falling, but it didn't work. The tears fell freely down her cheeks, but at that point, she found herself too consumed in her rage to care.
She was angry at her father for never caring, she was mad at her mother for leaving her, but she was enraged with herself for ever letting herself fall in the illusion that someone might care for her.
She was so consumed by her anger that she didn't notice the ninjas getting up after finishing the last kanji. She didn't notice her father walking toward her with a brush that would seal her cage shut. She had lost herself in the raging fires of her hatred. She had lost her sense of existence. She could feel herself merging with something…something unusual, something foreign to her. But she was too far gone to care anymore.
And that's when it happened.
As Hiashi moved the brush only centimeters from her forehead, a fire sprang out of nowhere throwing him backwards. As Hiashi lay sprawled on the ground he could only stare at the raging inferno that surrounded his daughter.
