There isn't really much for me to say about this fanfic, except that it was originally going to be a one or two chapter oneshot in my oneshot collection, but when I began writing it, I decided to make it into an entire Fanfic. Oh, and before I forget, I don't own warriors. Enjoy!

(Mousewhisker's pov)

The scent of fresh kill filled the air, conflicting with the illness that wafted around in the medic en cat's den. A gray and white tom sat up, trying to stretch a little, but failing to manage due to exhaustion. He let out a sigh, and closed his eyes, but couldn't fall asleep.

Suddenly, a sweater scent filled his nose, and he looked up at Jayfeather, who was nosing some Catmint toward him. "Here, you must eat this if you want to get better," He meowed, stepping back from the warrior in order to let him eat the Catmint.

As Mousewhisker ate the Catmint, he sighed in relief as he felt himself feeling better. "Thank you Jayfeather," He whispered before falling asleep. His dreams where uninterrupted for some time, and he dreamed of having a mate in the future. But that could never be me. All of the cat that I've even had a crush on are either dead, or in another clan. He thought to himself.

It wasn't long before he heard coughing in another nest beside him. He looked up to see Heathertail lying in a nest close to his. What in the name of Starclan is she doing here? He asked himself, but didn't say so out loud. However, he decided to make some chit chat. "You got Greencough too?" He rasped, he illness showing in his voice.

Heathertail let out a sigh. "Yeah. Got it last night and decided that it was time to travel back to the clans," She admitted. Mousewhisker was a bit confused by this, to say the least. Come back? What did she mean, come back to the clans?

She must have noticed his confusion, and she settled herself down for a bit. "You see, a lot of Windclan cat had thought that I loved Breezepelt, and after his treachery was discovered, they believed that I was a dark forest sympathizer." The light brown she cat then let out a snort. "As if. I've never even heard of the place and if I had, I'd have reported it to the medicine cat and leader as soon as I did," She added bitterly."

Mousewhisker's eyes grew round with sympathy and regret. A lot of cats where hurt by what had happened with the dark forest, and he had helped them by training with them. Yet, he regretted that, even though he did the right thing in the end and sided with his clan in the end. But Heathertail here didn't even train in the forest yet she was being blamed all the same. "I'm sorry," He whispered softly.

Heathertail nodded, and curled up to sleep. "Everything will look better once we get better," she meowed, falling asleep.

Mousewhisker woke up, feeling like he was better. He glanced up at Heathertail, who seemed to be doing much better. "Hey, Mousewhisker, do you think Bramblestar would let me join the clan?" She asked, somewhat suddenly.

Mousewhisker's whisker's twitched softly. "He'd be honored to have you," He purred, before looking up at his leader's den. "You'd have to tell him, though." He added.

She nodded, and suddenly looked a bit nervous. "Could you go with me?" She asked, rising up.

"Sure," Mousewhisker replied, and rose up, walking beside her. "You do realize though that Windclan won't accept you back if it doesn't work out, right?" He asked suddenly.

Heathertail glanced over at him, her eyes brimming with emotion. "Windclan can re fight the dark forest for all I care." She muttered, then shook her head. "No, I know I shouldn't say such things, but they could offer me leadership of the entire clan and I'd still say no." She added, before heading up toward the highledge.

Mousewhisker simply nodded and followed. Windclan must have really hurt her, he realized.

Bramblestar padded out to meet the two, Squrrelflight flowing them. "Hello Heathertail, Mousewhisker." He meowed, while Squrrelflight just glared at Mousewhisker. The tom sighed to himself. Will she ever forgive me? He asked himself desperately.

"Hi," Heathertail meowed, before adding, "Bramblestar, may I ask a question?" She asked, sounding nervious but her voice kept an air of cool around it. When Bramblestar nodded, she took a deep breath. "Would it be alright if I joined Thunderclan?"

Bramblestar and Squirrelflight shared a thoughtful look which made Mousewhisker briefly wonder what was going through their mind. He felt as though the decision might take forever, and glanced at Heathertail quickly. Why not? She's a great cat, He thought. His attention snapped back to his leader when he began to speak.

"First, I must know something." Bramblestar began. "Why did you leave Windclan and why do you want to join Thunderclan.

Heathertail looked Bramblestar straight in the eye and meowed, "I left Windclan because they thought that I wanted to be mates with Breezepelt. I never really felt any kind of attraction to him myself, but up until the battle with the dark forest, I defended him, as I would any of my friends." She admitted.

"Onestar didn't kick you out, did he?" Squrrelflight interrupted, her tail lashing.

Heathertail shook her head. "No, but he might as well have. Many of the cats in Windclan now hate me, and they are very vocal about it. Onestar has issued a warning that any cat who spoke out against me on the matter was to be put on apprentice duties, but the cats are covering for each other." She stoped a bit for breath.

"So you left Windclan because they where harsh on you for something you didn't do?" Bramblestar meowed thoughtfully, then nodded. "But there are those Thunderclan would be a bit harsh as well, not because of Breezepelt, but because of where you came from. Plus, you will never be able to go back to Windclan. Are you sure this is what you want Heathertail?" He added gently.

Heathertail nodded. "Quite sure. I promise that I will serve Thunderclan and prove those who doubt my sincerity in joining this clan wrong." She promised.

Bramblestar stooped up. "Very well, You may join, but under one condition." He granted. "You are a warrior and shall keep your warrior name and rank. But, until you get comfortable with our hunting and fighting techniques, you will have a mentor."

Heathertail smiled a bit, dispute the fact that she'd be kinda of an apprentice for a bit. Though that would make some sense. "Thank you Bramblestar." She meowed, her eyes shining with happiness.

"Welcome to Thunderclan." Bramblestar meowed, before padding out of the den, indicating for Heathertail to follow. "Let all cat's old enough to catch their own prey join here beneath the High Rock for a clan meeting!" He meowed, looking around at the clearing. Mousewhisker wasn't quite sure what to do, until Squrrelflight pointed toward the group of cats, indicating that he should join them. He flicked his tail in understanding, heading down to the camp setting beside his brother, Berrynose.

"Cat's of Thunerclan!" He began, his voice filled to the brim with confidence. "You already know that Heathertail came to us several days ago, seeking treatment for her Greencough. However, she has recently spoken to me about the possibility of joining Thunderclan," He was interrupted by yowls of protest by the clan.

"Another outsider joining the clan?" A golden brown tabby tom yowled. Thonclaw, He recognized, not at all surprised at the warrior's objection.

Heathertail appeared beside the clan leader and stared at dismay at them. He could tell that this was not what she had expected. But, before he or Bramblestar Lionblaze gather the attention of the clan.

"I've spoken to Heathertail on numerous occasions at the gathering, and she does not appear to be the type of cat to leave her clan unless it is a very, very good reason." He meowed, though his eyes where a bit hostile. "I believe that we should give her a chance to prove herself." He finished, sitting down.

Bramblestar nodded. "I have thought of that when I agreed to let her stay. Until she is comfortable living in the clan and has proven her loyalty, she will have a mentor and will participate in apprentice duties. However, she will retain her warrior name and will sleep in the warrior's den with the other warriors." He replied, before looking around.

"Who will be he mentor?" Mousewhisker meowed, curious.

"Millie shall mentor Heathertail." Bramblestar meowed.
