Hello everyone. Thank you all for taking the time to read this story in it means so much to me. I am in love with the hobbit and I just had to write something about my favorite dwarves: fili and kili. I do not own them or middle earth or any other character (unfortunately). But I really REALLY hope you like it. please review if you liked it or didn't like it or if there was something you thought was not good and I will try my very best to improve it.

ENJOY!

Fili and kili sat next to each other staring into the soft soil.

"What was that?" the small hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, asked.

"Orcs." Kili replied calmly.

"Throat cutters" Fili said.

"Yeah, they come in the night and then they kill you, quick and quite, no blood or anything." Kili mutters to the already frightened hobbit. Kili turns around and looks at his brother. They silently chuckle at what Kili said.

"Think that's funny do you?" came their uncle Thorin's growl.

"I didn't mean anything by it." Kili said ashamed.

"Oh sure you didn't." their uncle muttered. "You know nothing of the world." Kili stood up and followed his uncle to the edge of the small cliff.

"I'm sorry, uncle." Kili said at last looking down at the ground. Thorin looked down at him with a dignified look.

"Kili, you have done nothing wrong." Thorin said calmly. "But you know my hatred for orcs is immense." Kili looked at him knowingly and replied. "I was just trying to scare our burglar, is all."

"well that's just going to make him even more fearful, and he's very irritating as it is and I don't want to have to cope with the hobbit as it is, so making him more scared is going to make this lot go quite a bit slower." Thorin responded somewhat grumpily. Kili knew Thorin didn't agree with Gandalf when he said Bilbo was a burglar and not some ordinary gorcer. As kili walked back over to fili he noticed two red dots….. but he thought again and realized in horror that the two red dots were eyes staring straight into his. He stepped backwards quickly and tripped over fili's leg.

"are you alright, kili?" fili asked concerned. Kili pointed up towards were the red eyes were, but they were not there anymore.

"I'm fine, it just…. My eyes were playing tricks on me." kili replied uncertain.

"alright, but remember you can trust me with whatever you saw, I promise." Fili said patting his younger brother on his shoulder.

"thanks." Kili said and repositioned himself so he was leaning against a tree.

Wow that was short but I will be writing lots more. And if you wonderful people would like to post a review I would be so happy. Please review. I'll be posting really soon if you guys want.
