Hello guys. This is my very first Doctor Who fanfic, but I've been a fan of the show for ages. Most of my stories will probably focus on the tenth doctor (just because he's my favorite) and his companions. This one is set at the very end of Partners In Crime. Donna's thoughts.

I don't own Doctor Who. Shame…

This is it. The search is over and here she stands, so high above her grandfather's smiling face. Finally standing in the impossible blue box that had parked itself in her mind ever since she had first left.

'If you ever see a little blue box flying up there in the sky, you shout for me.'

And there he was behind his little telescope, shouting for her, whooping and cheering. She can't stop smiling and waving back down to him. Strangely, it doesn't feel like a farewell. Or a goodbye. More like a see-you-soon. If the Martian doesn't get her killed first.

He stands behind her, smiling too. She notices that he doesn't seem as sullen as he was when she'd first met him on that exciting Christmas Eve. He'd told her about Martha, the woman who had endured the craziness, toured the stars and fancied her silly, skinny spaceman. Her partner in crime. Now it was her turn (minus the fancy part, of course).

All her searching and waiting, she knows, will be worth it. Her granddad had always showed her how beautiful the universe was; now she would get to see it up close. As well as go back in time. Touring the world just doesn't cut it anymore. She wants to see it all.

When the wooden doors close and her spaceman shouts "Allons-y!", setting the magic box in motion, she groans as she loses her footing. This was one part of the adventure she didn't particularly miss. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.

But what the hell.

Up here, she's no longer just the temp from Chiswick. She is Donna Noble.

And she was going to see the stars.

Just a little story about Donna in the TARDIS. How's that for a first?
