He thought it would make him happy.
He thought that his life would be easer.
He thought that all his problems would be solved,
The moment Black died.
All the torture Black had put him through,
When they were kids,
All the fights they'd had since,
He thought it would all be gone.
He thought everything would be better,
When the man was gone.
Out of his life forever.
He thought it would help him forget,
All the mistakes he'd made.
All the pain he'd caused.
He thought Black was the source of it all.
If he was gone,
Everything would be okay.
That he would be free,
From the childhood grudge.
He'd thought about the words they would say,
The day Black would not return.
"Close the door,
Black's not coming back."
He thought that the end of his enemy's life,
Would be the beginning of his.
He thought it would make him happy.
He never thought it would hurt.
