Once upon a time, there were three white mice. They hid on white paper so the cat couldn't see them. Or so they thought at least. In reality, the cat only pretended not to see the mice, because he didn't actually want to hurt them. This cat's name was actually "Cat". One day, Cat was pretending to be asleep and was watching the mice curiously as they discovered three jars of paint. One was red, one was yellow, and one was blue. Cat watched the mice with amusement as they assumed it was mouse paint, and climbed right in. Then one mouse was red, one was yellow, and one was blue. Still watching the mice while pretending to sleep, Cat noticed little puddles of paint forming at their feet when they climbed out of the paint jars. Cat couldn't help smiling a bit when the red mouse stepped into the yellow puddle and did a little dance, mixing the two colors to make orange. The amazement of the mice upon discovering this new color was very cute. The yellow mouse then proceeds to dance in the blue puddle, and the mice have sheer awe written all over their faces as the color green is produced. Cat observed the blue mouse as it dances in the red puddle, and purple is created. Soon enough, Cat takes notice as the mice realize the paint is making their fur sticky and stiff. As the mice wash themselves off in Cat's water dish, Cat refrains from sighing. He'd have to ask his human to give him fresh water later. Oh, the mice found some paintbrushes. Cat continued watching the mice as they went to work painting the paper instead of themselves. Of course, some of the paper is kept white, so Cat won't be able to see them. So they think, at least.
