Flower Petals

Chapter 1

The zipper of a backpack could be heard in the silent night, along with the soft thump of placing it upon her back. She looks towards the photo of her younger self, smiling brightly between two sulking boys. Her sensei above her had his hands on both of the boy's heads, a smile beneath his mask. Grabbing the top of the frame, she slowly puts it face down.

She glanced around the room and made sure nothing was out of place. Everything was in order. Leaving her one bedroom apartment, she visited one more place.

Stones stood on the green field and she ran to the one she visited every day when she had time. Kneeling next to it, she clasps her hands together in a silent prayer. She whispered. "I know you would be upset with what I'm about to do but I want you to be proud of me. I know you would do the same."

She stood up and closed her eyes, listening to the wind.

A whistle was heard.

She smiled and her eyes shined with unshed tears.

"Goodbye Mom and Dad."

She remembered clear as day when she cut her hair during the Chunin exams. She vowed to never cut her hair again but she is breaking her promise.

The kunai slides easily through her blond locks. She looks at her reflection in the mirror. "This will do."

Placing her locks in a bag, she puts into her hip pouch. She leaves the room she has lived in her whole life. Quickly and quietly, she descends to the flower shop her family owns. Before she went to train with her teammates and on the day off from missions, she would be working here. A few tears slip out of her eyes. All the customers she brought smiles to, would they be upset to see her gone? She didn't know but hope the flowers she sold bought happiness to their loved ones faces.

Closing her eyes, she senses her parent's chakra upstairs. It was calm, meaning that they were sleeping. She opens the door to the shop and gently closes it behind her.

She takes a breath of fresh air.

A whistle was heard

She gets one last look at her home and whispers. "Goodbye."

She sheds her jacket, her trademark one, and she holds it close to her. Memories go through her head when she was put into a three man cell, missions, Chunin exams, and training. She remembers always watching Naruto from afar. She wanted to be stronger. Instead of him watching out for her, she will be watching out from him.

She discards the piece of clothing to the floor. Sliding her bedroom open, she walks to the garden.

She could hear her father speaking to her mother close by. She closed off her chakra and search for her usual escape route.

The tree was the tallest in the Hyuga compound. She climbs up it before hiding in the leaves, making sure none of the guards spot her.

None seemed to be even slightly aware of her leaving. She jumped off the tree and landed safely on the ground on the other side of the wall.

No chakra spiked.

Nobody noticed her.

She was upset that nobody seemed to notice her leaving but she shook it off. Now was not the time.

A whistle was heard.

She looked to the wall that encased her compound. It was a cage and she was finally able to fly free.

"Goodbye."

Every single weapon she had was put into a scroll. Putting the final one in her bag, she left her house. Both her parents were ninja. However, instead of missions, they were weapon makers. She walked to their weapon shop. She used her key to enter into shop.

Inside many different equipment lined the walls. She walked to the back room and found the red chest she was looking for. Pulling a gold key from her pocket, she settle it into a lock.

Click

She opens the chest to reveal a single scroll. It was her family's most prized possession: the Cerberus scroll. She took the scroll into her hands. It pulsed, seeming to growl at her but it calmed down. She can't use it till it accepts her as its new master.

Placing it into her hip pouch, she closed the chest and put the key in the cash box. Once she closed the door to the shop, she slipped the regular keys under the door.

A whistle was heard.

She took a deep breath and started to run.

"Goodbye."

The sober blond and her brunette assistant, along with her pig, waiting at the entrance to the village. A small silver whistle rested in her hand. She wanted to know the girl's answer. Each kunoichi arrived. She knew their response. Asking them was only a formality.

"Have you made your decision?"

They all nodded.

Tsunade turns and jumps into the forest, flanked with all the girls following her. Their first stop to Suna, to see the decision of the final girl.

Each ponytail was taken out. Surprisingly, it laid down flat. She takes off her big fan and replaces it with two smaller ones. Looking out the window, she sees the office of the Kazekage, her brother's office light still on.

She finally has a good relationship with her brother and she was going to leave. She wished she could tell them but this was a high class S-ranked mission, her brother doesn't even know about it, he only was a messenger when he received the scroll from someone from Konoha. She hopes at least that he will miss her.

She smiles.

A whistle was heard.

She went into a sprint.

"Goodbye Gaara, Kankuro."

Without her ponytails and big fan, they didn't recognize Temari at first. But when they all did, the young girls hugged her.

Tsunade coughed catching the girl's attention. "Before we begin, there is one thing we must do."
