Season 11- Episode 2: Redemption

Scene: A week has passed and the team as slowed down searching for Bart and Kara, but Watchtower continues to scan the planet unsuccessfully. Clark has continued to search for answers uncover to the suspicious he has had over the past week after thinking he saw Alicia again. It is midmorning and Clark and Lois are working at the bustling Daily Planet. Clark is silently working looking at his computer and Lois seems concerned about Clark's recently withdrawn demeanor.

Lois: You know you haven't said what you have been looking for all week. *Quietly looking up from her computer trying hard to make Clark feel better*

Clark: Lois it was just I thought I saw someone I know has been dead for a long time, you remember Alicia? *Clark finally breaking the silence after a few moments*

Lois: Clark, what's going on? *A look of concern and confusion coming over her face*

Clark: Someone has taken her body from her grave and was impersonating her, and I need to make it right. *Look of distraught coming across her face*

Lois: Clark, I heard about the grave I just wanted you to tell me yourself though. I am glad you can tell me. *Small smile coming across her face*

Clark: Lois you remember how she died? *Look of sadness coming across his face*

Lois: Yes Clark, I remember. *Slowly taking off her glasses to force herself to stop working and make sure she can give more attention to Clark*

Clark: There is something you don't know. *Abruptly stopping mid-sentence*

Cat Grant: Hey you two, Clark we were assigned to go out to the new LuthorCorp reopening with the construction finally finishing up. *Speaking her normal upbeat voice all excited with her the new assignment she had been given to cover*

Clark: Alright Miss Grant, let me just grab my jacket real quick and we can go. *Resuming acting as his unassuming self in front of Cat*

Cat Grant: Clark please don't trip when we get on scene again last time people wouldn't even take my question seriously because of that incident. *Speaking in a more serious tone of voice*

Clark: Yes, Miss Grant I'll do my best. *Saying in a more nervous tone of voice*

Cat Grant: Good, now we best be leaving I want good vantage points to ask questions from. *Turning around and walking away*

Clark: Lois I am really sorry, we can talk about this later. I promise. *Finally putting on his jacket he had been holding in his hand then following behind Cat*

Lois: Its okay Clark, go on. I know we both have work to get to. *Putting back on her glasses with a small smile of reassurance*

Clark: Thank you Ms. Lane. *Clark nodding his head slightly, with a grin, and pushing up his glasses before turning around to catch up to Cat*

Scene: Watchtower is back to fully operational status and Oliver and Chloe are spending the morning in each other's company at the Watchtower till something turns up about Kara and Bart. Oliver is relaxing on a couch next to Chloe as they are each enjoying a cup of warm coffee. Metropolis cannot be heard from Watchtower anymore with most of the repairs to the city now being finished.

Oliver: Do you think it was the right call? Telling everybody it was okay to slow down the search for Bart and Kara until Watchtower can turn up something. *Holding his coffee mug close to his face and looking into the cup with a look of confliction*

Chloe: It wasn't just our decision Clark did help, and you know he is right when he says that we can't ignore all of the world's problems. He wouldn't want us to do that if he went missing either. *Chloe looking up at him with a reassuring and strong look*

Oliver: Well, what do you say we move into that new apartment then in Star City like we talked about before all this went down? I still have the lease and we can move in at any time. *Wrapping his arm around Chloe with a smile trying to charm her into saying yes*

Chloe: You know? We should. *Chloe kisses Oliver and Oliver has a surprised expression that quickly turns into a smile* After all Watchtower is synced to everyone's phones and it is scanning the planet for us.

Oliver: Alright so we can move into the apartment this week then? *Looking for Chloe to say yes trying to charm her yet again*

Chloe: Only if you promise me not to overload yourself when we move to Star City trying to save everyone. *Giving Oliver a small smile, knowing he will always try to help those in need*

Oliver: I promise I'll try. You going to tell Lois and Clark? *Looking at Chloe*

Chloe: I need to but we need to find a good time to tell them. *Now a puzzling look on Chloe's face as she lifts her coffee to her mouth to take a drink*

Oliver: Okay, we will tell them next time we see them. You know something has been bothering me, who is this Alicia girl and why is Clark looking for her? *Surprising Chloe with his knowledge of Alicia's existence*

Chloe: *Chloe nearly dropping her coffee from Oliver's sudden question* When did you ever find out about Alicia?

Oliver: Chloe, Watchtower lets me check all of the most recent searches to since we upgraded the system so only members of the team can look at that information. *Beginning to stand up and walking towards the window looking into the light*

Chloe: Oliver, she was a girl from our high school. *Pausing for a minute trying to find how to put everything into words* She and Clark actually dated for a little bit, he really cared about her so much. *Pausing for a second once more* She actually showed me Clark's secret believing I would be able to convince him to show other, but she was murdered our senior year. Clark beat himself up for weeks, and I honestly don't know if he ever truly got over her. *Chloe thinks back, remembering the first time she saw Clark catch Alicia's car out of mid-air with the pair watching in the shadows*

Oliver: So basically she is why you know Clark's secret or why you found out when you did, and without her Clark may not yet be the Superman of Metropolis. *Now turned around in astonishment looking at Chloe*

Chloe: Honestly Oliver, I think if Alicia would've lived Clark would've been at least The Blur a lot sooner. *Looking Oliver in the eyes*

Oliver: You really think she would've changed Clark that much if she was still here? *Oliver now looking puzzled*

Chloe: Well honestly, yes, it took Clark years to trust Lois and trust her on top of that Clark and Lana never lasted. So I think Alicia would've been able to turn him into a hero faster.

Oliver: Chloe thank you for always believing in me and making me into the hero I needed to become. *Oliver kissing Chloe on the forehead then holding her in a warming embrace*

Scene: Metropolis downtown, in front of LuthorCorp reporters and other citizens are awaiting the ribbon cutting that will signal the reopening of LuthorCorp for business. The day is calm and the sun is out Clark and Cat are standing front of the pack, closest to the podium and ribbon. Traffic had been blocked off on the surrounding streets to celebrate the reopening. Lex Luthor though is nowhere to be found.

Cat Grant: Alright Clark now just follow my lead and we can make sure we get answered by the CEO in place while LuthorCorp is under corporate rebuilding.*Straitening up her blouse and flipping her hair back, finally grabbing her note pad and pen prepared for questions*

Clark: Of course Miss Grant! What question are you planning on trying to ask? *Clark pestering with his own notepad and pen*

Cat Grant: Well I think we need to know if Lex Luthor will be reclaiming his family's company and if so when he is planning to make his return *Cat with a determined look on her face*

Clark: Do you think that is a good idea at the reopening of LuthorCorp? *Clark taken off guard by the actual journalistic quality of her question*

Cat Grant: Well of course, when better to ask Mister! *Cat now with a confident smile sweeping across her face* I want to be the reporter to break the story of the prodigal son's possible return.

Announcer: *Walking up to the stand in a nice suit preparing to address the crowd* Ladies and gentlemen, the Mayor of Metropolis.

Mayor: Ladies, gentlemen, and people of Metropolis LuthorCorp has been an influential power and helping hand to the city of Metropolis for many years. I am very happy to be a part of this historic day, the reopening of LuthorCorp. *Speaking in a very professional manner and wearing a black suit jacket with overcoat*

Cat Grant: Mr. Mayor, do you believe that Lex Luthor will return to his father's company and how do you feel about it? *Cat speaking up during the Mayor's pause trying to get his attention*

Mayor: We are not taking questions at this time. *The Mayor quickly shooting down Cat's question*

Meanwhile, Lex Luthor and his half-brother Lucas Luthor are relaxing in a pent house suite of a hotel in downtown Metropolis watching the reopening on TV live. Lex refusing to show up because he is not able to take control of the company. Lex is sitting in a button down dark purple short sleeve shirt and wearing black dress pants watching the TV angrily with one hand on a glass and the other resting on the arm of the chair. Lucas is sitting in a chair also watching the TV but without a drink in hand.

Lex: This disgusts me, they are going disgrace our family name by not signing over the company to me. I am the heir of LuthorCorp! *Lex angrily watching the TV screen*

Lucas: Well Lex honestly father never did see me as one of his own. He even wrote me out of the will and the company name, luckily I have has my brother to watch me. *Lucas speaking with a small tone of jealousy in his voice*

Lex: So you sure about this Clark Kent guy and I being as close as what you say? I haven't been able to get a hold of him. A woman keeps answering the phone saying he is busy. *Lex looking into his glass with a tone of disappointment*

Lucas: Well when I left Smallville and Metropolis he seemed to be your only really close friend. *Lucas now looking out the window into the skyline*

Lex: Last time you came to Smallville was eight years ago. Everything else was things I told you was going on. *Standing up now with a little more clarity in his voice*

Lucas: Well I know you never liked this Blur character or Superman or whatever his name is now. *Turning around giving a darting look to his brother* Why would that be? Oh wait, you don't remember and never told me. *Now getting irritated with his brother*

Lex: Are you questioning my judgment? Everything I do, everything I did was for the betterment of this family!*Now getting angry with his arrogant younger brother* I think you should learn some respect or leave, after all nothing is in your name anyway right brother?

Lucas: I'll be outside Lex. *Angry and now slowly walking away from his brother*

Scene: Back to downtown Metropolis midway through the conference and approaching the ribbon cutting ceremony. Clark and Cat are still in the front row listening to the ceremony. Cat now looking angry and flustered that her question was blown off and Clark trying to remain inconspicuous.

Clark: Once we get a photo of the ribbon being cut we can leave Cat I know you don't want to be here anymore. *Clark speaking to Cat and pushing up his glasses*

Cat Grant: Why can't something just go right for me instead of falling in other people's laps who don't even want the stories? *Puffing at Clark, suddenly someone bumps into her trying to get through the crowd* Hey! Watch where you are walking buster! *A kid bumps into Cat, standing about 5 foot 7 inches in clothes that look a little dirty but not like a homeless person. The kid has light brown hair, messy and looks to be about sixteen years old*

Eric Strauss: Look Miss, I am really I am trying to get through. *Nervously answering Cat*

Cat Grant: Well what for? All the action of this week is happening right here? *Curiously poking around for a new story*

Eric Strauss: I… I can't explain, I've got to go. *Speaking with even less confidence than the first time almost looking fearful*

Clark: Hey wait a second, what's wrong? What are you running from? *Clark finally speaking up realizing the fear in Eric's eyes*

Eric Strauss: It's nothing… I got to go. *Speaking over his should walking away into the crowd*

Clark: Cat, stay here. I am gonna go find out what's going on. I don't want you to miss this story or be in danger. *Looking at Cat through his glasses with a little bit more seriousness*

Cat Grant: Clark, don't you think you should call the police? *Cat yelling at Clark who has now begun following Eric through the crowd*

Scene: After some following through the thick crowd and pretending to clumsily bump into some people Clark can barely see Eric in the distance. The pair had wondered into a back alley way through the downtown area of the city. It is a little damper and quieter than the main streets of Metropolis. Eric begins grabbing his ears kneeling in pain in the alleyway.

Clark: Eric, what's wrong? *Clark trying to yell out to Eric who now cannot seem to hear Clark from the distance approaching him*

Eric Strauss: Why are you whispering in my head? Why do you keep talking to me? *Eric still holding his head in distress*

Clark: *Now beside Eric places one hand on his shoulder and Eric quickly turns around releasing his ears* Eric, what voices are you hearing?

Eric Strauss: You can't hear them. They picked me, they keep whispering to me. Telling me to leave New York and go to Metropolis. That my fate is much greater here. *Eric looking at Clark in the face now with fear*

Clark: Are the voices stronger? *Now x-raying Eric to check all of his vitals and seeing that they are normal*

Eric Strauss: Yes, so much louder. Telling me to go somewhere but I don't know where it is. *Now beginning to calm down*

Clark: Alright Eric, focus, what are the voices saying right now? *Clark trying to help Eric focus and now helping him off the ground*

Eric Strauss: A Brownstone. It keeps whispering to me Brownstone now, what does that mean? *Beginning to cup his ears again*

Clark: It can't be what I think it is, isn't the old JSA headquarters called that? *Whispering to himself careful not to let Eric hear him* Eric does it say anything else?

Eric Strauss: Something about trouble coming, an explosion. *Eric beginning to cringe in pain* I have to make the voices stop. They have to go away.

Clark: I will take you to the hospital I know people who can help. *Clark beginning to pick Eric up who is now beginning to fall unconscious from pain*

Eric Strauss: Winslow… *Eric finally falling unconscious*

Clark: *Super speeding to the front door of the hospitals and getting a nurse to take Eric in then super speeding to the JSA old headquarters* Anyone here? *Clark announcing himself at the door, the building appearing to be abandoned and very quiet* Someone is supposed to be watching this building, anyone here?

Scene: The Brownstone appears to be quiet and nearly empty and some of the old exhibits are covered up. The exhibits not cover up and still visible with a layer of dust are the helmet of Flash, the ring of the original Green Lantern, and the Helmet of Nabu.

Abigail Hunkel: Yes? Who is it? *Elderly sounding and almost weak voice*

Clark: My name is Clark Kent, I was a friend of Carter. *Clark now messing with his glasses and tie*

Abigail Hunkel: Clark, yes I have heard of you. How may I help you son? *Smiling and walking out of the shadow being seen in a dress she is an older lady with a gentle smile*

Clark: Well actually I was wondering if anything specious has been going on lately. *Clark looking around the room beginning to x-ray the entire building catching a glimpse of the Helmet of Nabu* The Helmet is glowing? *Whispering to himself again*

Abigail Hunkel: What did you say Clark? *Trying to listen in more closely*

Clark: Nothing, nothing my bad. Abigail how well did you know the last owner? Carter Hall that is. *Trying to figure out how well she actually knew about the JSA*

Abigail Hunkel: If you are asking me about the JSA and if I know about their identities, then Mr. Kent I am afraid I can't divulge any information. But it seems Mr. Kent as though you already know about some of our JSA members. *Looking Clark once over*

Clark: What do you mean? I have no idea what you're talking about. *Clark quickly trying to avoid the subject*

Abigail Hunkel: Now Mr. Kent, you should know better than anyone the next to become Dr. Fate isn't the only one who can hear the helmet's whispers when it isn't on. *Looking back at the helmet*

Clark: You know who I am then? *Clark slowly looking over his glasses at Abigail*

Abigail Hunkel: Why yes Mr. Kent, don't you know who I am? *Now looking at Clark with a look of suspicion*

Clark: No, I'm sorry ma'am should I? *Now looking a little surprised*

Abigail Hunkel: I was the Red Tornado and while I was never a full time member of the JSA I knew all of the team very well. *Smiling at Clark*

Clark: Wow, it's always an honor to meet another hero. *Clark now taking off his glasses and offering a handshake to Abigail* But I have to ask you, has another odd happened here lately?

Abigail Hunkel: Well Fate's helmet has been whispering more, it is strange it use to always be quiet unless the wearer was speaking to it. *Looking back at the helmet*

Clark: Well I was curious because a kid named Eric Strauss was hearing voices in his head the last word he heard was Brownstone. *Clark walking up to the helmet* Is it possible the helmet is calling out to a new man to take the mantle of Dr. Fate?

Abigail Hunkel: If it is calling out to a new possessor then it is only a matter of time before he finds his way here to take the helmet and wield its power. *Now looking at the power ring of Green Lantern*

Clark: Eric is only a kid, he is sixteen maximum. Why would the helmet be calling out to him now? *Turning around to face Abigail once again*

Abigail Hunkel: We don't always get to choose when we are brought into action. *Her wise words showing Clark a new heroic side to Clark*

Clark: I know, some of us were forced into action and others looking for it. *Looking out the window remembering how his trials forced him to save people since his freshmen year of high school*

Abigail Hunkel: I have a feeling there will come a time Mr. Kent that more than just Dr. Fate will be called back into action, a time when this world and you will need more heroes to help you in your battles. Maybe you shouldn't push Eric away from this place and maybe you should let him forge his own destiny. *Now looking a Clark with a more serious look*

Clark: It's hard to accept someone needing to forge their own destiny when mine has touched so many people.

Abigail Hunkel: You are a hero, but some people don't need to be saved some need to find their own light and strength. I feel that you should get back to the Daily Planet your friends may be worried about you.

Clark: How did you know? *Clark completely shocked putting back on his glasses*

Abigail Hunkel: You're wearing your press pass Mr. Kent, but we will see you again when Fate decides it. *Smiling and walking away as Clark super speeds away*

Scene: Lex is walking with a nice suit and his single black glove on with a cane in that hand entering a prison. Lex is with one body guard and has a look of curiosity on his face. Meeting each check point in a prison by a guard who lets Lex through.

Lex: So you are the man I've been looking for? *Lex asking in a very curious tone now tapping the cell of the inmate with his cane*

Toyman: Mr. Luthor? I thought you were dead. No, that's impossible. *Looking of shock nearing fear* The explosion, I looked at the scene myself there is no way you could've survived.

Lex: Well it appears destiny has given me a second chance and it's about to do the same for you. *Lex smiling at Toyman* That is if you are of use to me.

Toyman: Of course Mr. Luthor anything to get out of this cage. *Smiling now eager to know what Lex is planning*

Lex: Well first I need information, who put you here? I also need to know what I had you working on before I "died". *A more serious look coming across Lex's face now*

Toyman: The Blur put me here, he soiled all of my plans and still I haven't figured out who he really is yet. As for the second part you had me working on bombs with green meteor rock, something about bringing the world's heroes to their knees. You didn't tell me the target I just made it. *Toyman looking at Lex with interest now and curiosity* But you don't remember anything.

Lex: Do you want to test my patience? Or would you like a second chance at the other side of these bars? *Turning around tapping his cane into his hand*

Toyman: Mr. Luthor please, I am sorry sir. Just let me have a chance and maybe I can fill in a few of the blanks while we talk about rebuilding this partnership. *Smiling at Lex with a hopeful gleam in his eye*

Lex: Fill me in and I'll get you out. *Looking at Toyman now fully attentive*

Toyman: Well Mr. Luthor before we did our last bit of business you hired me for my ability with machines and toys. You wanted me to take out the people you felt betrayed you like Oliver Queen. You held an extreme hatred for him and The Blur and now I hold the same hatred for The Blur. *Toyman standing up now looking Lex in the eye* Mr. Luthor I have been in this cage for almost two years I need a chance at revenge, I mean redemption.

Lex: You know what Winslow, I will give you a shot at redemption. There will be one condition, we make sure there is no way to connect you back to me today or afterwards. I need to retain my own image if I am going to take back my birthright.

Toyman: Of course Mr. Luthor. *Smiling* I am forever grateful for your help and we are glad to have you back Mr. Luthor.

Lex: We will be in contact, secure lines only. I will call you, don't call me. *Walking away from the cell* Oh, and you will be released by the end of the day.

Scene: Clark is back at the Daily Planet and is seen working on the story with Cat. The Planet is busy and people are frantically working. It is approaching closing time and everyone is working to get their last minute stories in. Hanging in the background is still a new story covering Superman and his help in repairing the city. Time stamp on the calendar still being in 2011.

Cat Grant: Clark I have the write up for reopening of LuthorCorp finished. What did you find out about that kid earlier? *Eager to hear if Clark had found another good story*

Clark: Oh, well Eric wasn't feeling well and he was over-stressed probably from his fever so I made sure he was okay then I took him to the hospital. *Clark quickly figuring out what to say as Lois is seen walking up*

Lois: Wow, so Clark you got to save someone today? That's exciting! *Lois smiling with approval* I bet Superman would be proud of your heroics.

Clark: Thank you for the compliment Ms. Lane. *Clark pushing up his glasses*

Lois: Clark, can I have a word with you? *Lois waving Clark to follow her*

Clark: *Getting up to follow Lois into a back room* What's going on Lois? *Clark taking off his glasses*

Lois: Well Clark, Chloe just came by earlier. She and Oliver decided it would be best for them to travel to Star City and settle down there. I understand though it would give them a chance at a more normal life, but Chloe did say she got Watchtower operational so we can all still stay in contact. *Lois looking a tad bit sad but trying to hide it*

Clark: Lois, I know it will be hard not to have them here in Metropolis with us, but I can always just fly us there. *Clark trying to cheer up Lois and pulling her close to hug her*

Lois: Smallville you always know exactly what to say. *Smiling at Clark as she gently kisses him*

Clark: Lois, there is something else you should know. The kid I saved earlier today his name is Eric Strauss and I think he may become the next Dr. Fate. *Trying to make sure Lois understands what he is saying*

Lois: But Clark I thought you said Dr. Fate died. How could someone just become him? *Lois trying to figure out what Clark means*

Clark: Well apparently every time one Dr. Fate dies another individual is chosen by the helmet to be worthy to become the next Dr. Fate. *Clark speaking in a softer tone of voice to make sure no one can hear him* Lois, I think this kid will become the next Dr. Fate, he is hearing voices in his head about Fate.

Lois: Well Smallville, while you were playing with fate I did some digging after talking to Chloe, and someone you put behind bars is being released today. Winslow Schott's release is scheduled for the end of today. *Lois now giving Clark a serious look*

Clark: Toyman is being released? But how? *Clark preparing to super speed off before Lois grabbing his arm* Lois I have to go take care of this, now.

Lois: Clark wait, whoever got Toyman out has covered up his tracks really well. So I don't think Superman can just swoop in and relock up a criminal who has been given a clean rap sheet just yet. *Lois trying to talk some sense into Clark so he doesn't blow any cover* And Schott was in solitary since you have become the new face of justice so he will have no idea who you are. Let's try to keep that way, okay? *Smiling at Clark, hoping to persuade him*

Clark: Alright Lois I won't go. You're right. After all if Toyman tries anything I will be there to stop him. *Clark putting back on his glasses*

Lois: There is my hero. *Smiling at Clark* Now the story of Toyman's release hasn't yet hit the newsstands so I think Superman should keep an ear out for anything suspicious.

Clark: I will head to Watchtower and set it up to watch him for when he is released.

Lois: I think you should go set it up now, who knows the exact time he will be released. I will cover for you. *Lois now fixing her blouse and pushing up her glasses* Just be careful.

Clark: I will Lois. *Clark super speeds away*

Scene: Clark appears in Watchtower, the window is allowing light to pour in and currently Victor (Cyborg) is working at the computer. The computers still scanning the planet for any signs of Bart or Kara.

Victor/Cyborg: Clark! I was actually just going to radio you. I have some news about our missing comrades I discovered after I plugged myself into the network. *Victor turning around and appearing to be wired in to Watchtower from his arm*

Clark: You do? That's great, what did you find out? *Clark taking off his glasses and jacket then tossing them onto a chair nearby*

Victor/Cyborg: Well Kara and Bart didn't actually disappear at the same time. Kara disappeared before Bart. She used something to actually transport herself, causing a small rift in space and time. Bart though disappeared a couple days ago. I am not sure how he did it, but I can't locate his transmitter anywhere. *Cyborg still typing away at the computer*

Clark: So you have the timeframe, but can we track where they may have been transported to and try to bring them back? *Clark looking at the computer screen and Victor is working. The computer screen is quickly flipping between different radars*

Victor/Cyborg: I can try to reverse the outputting signal and find the area to which each of them was transported but I don't have the power needed to be able to pull them back through.

Clark: Well if you can do it then I think we should try, but Victor I need to set up something real quick. *Clark quickly typing on another computer to set up the tracking system to follow Toyman when he is released from prison*

Victor/Cyborg: No problem Clark, what are you setting up? *Looking over his shoulder to get a glance at what Clark is working on*

Clark: Toyman is due to be released later today. We need to have at least part of Watchtower to keep a watchful eye on him. I have a feeling he won't stay toy-less for long. *Clark finishing up setting up a tracking system*

Victor/Cyborg: No way that creep is being released? He tried to kill millions of people let alone all of our team at one point. *Cyborg stunned from Clark's news*

Clark: Victor I know he's not a good guy, but we can't go after him right now. Someone has gotten his record completely whipped so if we go after him now it will look like we are going after a completely innocent person. I can't let people think anyone on this team would do that. *Clark speaking now looking at Victor trying to keep him calm to be sure he doesn't go after Toyman yet*

Victor/Cyborg: You're right Clark, but we could have John Jones or one of us keep an eye on him.

Clark: I don't want anyone to have attention drawn to us. We need to stay low. People are still looking for who the heroes are their curiosity will get them into trouble if we are not careful. *Clark looking out the window* It is our job to protect them, even if that means protecting them from themselves.

Victor/Cyborg: Alright, but I am going to alert the others. If we are going to be a team we all need to communicate. Clark should I call everyone in for a meeting about Kara and Bart? *Victor beginning to unhook himself from Watchtower's computer*

Clark: I don't think that will be necessary, but please send out a message to the others and let them know. Has everyone been checking in on a regular basis now?

Victor/Cyborg: Actually yes, even Zatanna has asked us if we need any assistance I told her for now I have her on emergency dial.

Clark: Good let Zatanna know if she would like to become a full member she can. I will leave it up to her. *Clark beginning to put back on his disguise* I am going to head back to the Daily Planet, Lois and I have plans for tonight.

Victor/Cyborg: Will do Clark. *Nodding to Clark* Have fun with Lois.

Clark: Have a good night Victor. *Clark super speeds away leaving Victor alone to man Watchtower for the evening*

Scene: Eric Strauss is waking up from his rest at the hospital it is now early evening and the sun is setting in the window. Eric is covered in sweat. Monitors on both sides of him appear normal with continued readings on Eric's vitals. Eric is alone in his room.

Eric Strauss: JSA. Brownstone. Fate. I must find my destiny. *Eric sits up immediately and takes off the wires from his body* Destiny is calling my name and it's time for me to answer. *Eric grabs his clothes off the chair next to the door now with a confident look on his face*

Scene: In space Darkseid is seen on Apokolips searching the outer reaches of a nearby galaxy for something. He is seen passing other planets that appear to be lifeless and empty.

Darkseid: I will find a way to beat Kal-El. Even if it is not me alone who has to defeat him. *Darkseid smiling with evil as his form is coming back to whole again* Maybe my own team is in order in order to defeat Kal-El's little team on Earth. *Apokolips flies away from view and Darkseid becomes formless once again*
