Author's Note: When I was watching Continental Drift, I couldn't help but draw parallels between the current situation and Manny's life in the first movie.
When he's separated from Ellie and Peaches, Manny's heart breaks. He can't let this happen again, he won't let it. He's not about to lose his family again. It'll destroy him, even with his herd's support. It's the reason why he's so overprotective with Peaches, who still doesn't know the truth about her late half-brother. Manny doesn't talk about it with Ellie sometimes, although she knows about the nightmares he still has.
He will save his family – There's no doubt about it. They all have will and determination. They'll be fine after this is over.
History will not repeat itself.
