As I quickly flashed into the substation I heard a million people screaming and chanting my name outside the shop. I watched my mum and Harper run over to the windows and pull down all the blinds so that we could actually be in private.
"Let me guess, Alex is home." Justin slowly walked down the stairs rolling his eyes. "I could tell by the hundreds of screaming people outside.
I just grunted and looked at Justin. Since a couple of weeks ago I had become famous for my magic and Justin hated it. I was caught on camera saving a little boy from a burning building, of course if I wasn't on camera I would've erased the boys memory after but it's not that simple when I didn't realise I was even being recorded in the first place. So now everywhere I go "World Wide Wizard" or "Alex Russo" is printed on every single magazine, news paper and poster in America.
"Oh, so you think I don't hate being followed around?" I stared at him.
"Who knows." Justin taunted back, his jealousy taking over him.
"I'll be in the lair if anyone wants me." I pushed past him and walked into the food cooler which was the entrance to the lair.
"Alex? Are you okay?" Harper followed me and noticed me sat down in my dad's favourite chair. "Listen, I can see that you don't like life like this. I know you're a very private person, but isn't there something you could do? Some may of making them forget about magic?"
"I don't know, Harper. I mean it's my fault i'm in this mess. I guess I just have to deal with it." I grunted a little.
"But it's making you unhappy."
"Nobody seems to care."
"I care."
"Whatever." I growled again just as Harper looked at me and quickly left slamming the lair door shut. "ERGH, I WISH YOU HUMANS WOULD JUST GO AWAY!"
Before I knew it magic was spilling out of the beautiful green emerald at the end of my wand and a gust of wind pushed past me causing me to lose my balance and fall to the floor. This wasn't good, I didn't mean to cast a spell. I ran out from the lair and into the substation where I saw my two brothers standing in their uniform by a table that was completely empty just as the substation was. There was absolutely no sign of mum or dad. I'd obviously messed up, big time.
"Alex, Alex." Justin quickly turned around, placing his note pad on the table and walked over to me as did Max. "Everyone just disappeared, so did mum and dad. What did you do?"
"What? Why do you automatically assume it's something I did!" I began to get defensive but I knew it was no use, I had to confess sooner or later. "Why don't you ever question Max?"
"Because I don't really know what's going on half the time." Max half smiled and nodded. It was clear he didn't understand this conversation as well.
"Fine, I accidently wished that human's would leave me alone." I said in a quiet voice causing Justin to put his head in his hands. "But I didn't mean to. I didn't realise it was a spell."
"Oh, and that makes it okay does it? Alex you've completely wiped the world of humans!" Justin shouted at me gaining Max's attention.
"Oh that's what's going on? I thought we were just home alone and Alex made everyone leave the substation."
