Discoveries of Emotions
I don't own Naruto or any of it's characters. Naruto is the property of Masashi Kishimoto. This is a short story of what my imagination thinks Hinata would be like if she were angry. But we all known she won't really get mad in the actual series.
How could she do that?Thought the usually under control Hinata. Naruto-san defeats Pein and is the town hero, so now Sakura-Chan decides to show some interest in him! I've always liked Naruto-san just the way he is and always was.
Hinata is a timid, quiet girl who seeks approval from her friends. Having them think she isn't a disappointment, or overall failure, is the only thin she ever really desire. But now she was having heated inner conflict. This had never happened before…ever.
Every bone in her body tingled and ached and the muscles in her heart pulled making her feel sick. She wanted to cry after hearing the news Kiba-san had told her after his latest mission.
*several hours earlier*
"It was mind-boggling! And you should have seen Lee and Yamato's faces! Hahaha! Funny, don't you think boy!" exclaimed Kiba-san stooping down to ruffle Akamaru's ears. "Woof!" Hinata smiled remembering when he was the size of a loaf of bread.
"S-So what happened when you found N-Naruto-san?" blushing as she stuttered his name. Just thinking about him gave her butterflies. "Uh…well, you see…okay! Honesty is the best policy and I'm your teammate and your friend and being honest with you even though it will make you upset is the only way to be…a good person…yeah!" he stood straight up with his hands on his hips out of breath from talking so fast. "Just please don't cry, okay?"
"T-Tell me." What if Naruto was hurt or killed or what if the nine-tail took over or…oh please let him be okay!
"Well, we got there and Sakura-Chan um…said…she said…that she sorta…loves Naruto. Please don't cry! You know I can't handle it when you cry!"
That was a knife! A knife in the heart! She didn't love him! Sakura-Chan has a one track mind and she could never get over Sasuke just like that! Why did she feel like she was on fire? What was this feeling? She didn't feel sad or like a failure, she felt…felt angry!
Kiba saw a different sort of unfamiliar spark in her eyes. He had to say something. "Well, when she hugged him he-" but she cut him off.
"Hugged him!" she squeaked out, but the force behind the words had Kiba stumbling backwards slightly.
I confessed my love first and saved his life! That's how could she? Hinata stopped herself and smiled shakily at him. "Sorry Kiba-san I have to go." And she was off. She had no where to go but a lot to think about. Anger still pulsed in her veins and she had to get rid of it. Anger was like poison to her and she couldn't intoxicate Kiba-san. She would get over her newfound emotion. That's what Naruto would do.
*present time*
Hinata never really hate a person before, and she had no idea how to get over it. Behind the Ichiraku Ramen Shop, the alien feeling Hinata sulked. It was all so upsetting. "What should I do?"
"Maybe you should listen to the whole story first." Kiba stood above her grinning. She hadn't even heard his approach. He plopped himself next to her and continued where he left off. "When she hugged him he pushed her away and…told her that he hated people who lie to themselves."
Relief flooded her body as she realized she still had a chance. "T-Thanks Kiba-san." Anger was an awful sensation; it left a small emptiness and exhaustion in Hinata's heart.
"Um…Hinata. Can I ask you a question?" Uneasiness returned, rapidly filling the hole anger had left looming in her soul.
"Why did you risk your life for Naruto? Do you love him that much?"
