The cruelty of the world
Edward, Winry, Alphonse, and Granny Pinaka gathered around the Rockwell's kitchen table. Sitting on a plate, which was on the table, was the legendary Philosopher's Stone.
"We finally have it." Stated Ed. He looked at the stone, very proudly. "All that time…searching. All those …"
"… False leads." Alphonse finished. This truly is a touching moment for the brothers, thought Winry. She felt as if she was intruding on a private family moment.
"We brought the stone here, before we used it, because we felt that you guys are a part of our family. We didn't want you to miss it." Shared Al. He turned to his brother. "Do it!"
Ed nodded. He turned to the table and put his hand over the stone. There was a flash of light that blinded everyone temporarily. Ed thought about all the time he and his brother spent, looking for this stone. The real reason that he and his brother wanted it…
The light faded, but there was a light fog. When it cleared, Winry looked over at Ed…
And saw no difference. There was a smell of blood in the air.
Ed's thoughts :
NO! Where is Al! I hear him but I can't see him! Winry is crying. I can't find Al! Not again! He is screaming but I can't see him! Oh no…….Where is Granny!??
