Opposites Attract4

Disclaimer: I don't own anything.

Blaise Zabini was the perfect example of opposites attracting. His mother was a petite, blonde hair blue eyed beautiful witch with less magic than a gnome. Which was insulting yes, but Blaise knew his mother didn't mind. She was a devil at charms and other than that relied on her beauty to get what she wanted. His real father, who had died from natural causes of course, was a dark haired dark eyed, brooding powerful man. He had more magic than anyone else apparently. He wouldn't know. He was dead by the time Blaise was five.

Which was why, he understood opposites attracting. Silver and gold, were for one example. One may think they matched perfectly, that they reflected each other and were not opposites but similar. They were wrong. Gold was glittering, warm and melting and soft. Whenever you saw it around a girl's neck you never thought of anything but sunshine and warmth. Silver however, was cold and hard. It was beautiful too but in a different way. It was nighttime and darkness. Most people didn't realize this; Blaise did. Then there was white and black, which were most assuredly opposites but did they not look wonderful together? Many girls opted to wearing those two colors in one way or another just because of that. But they did not realize how deeply that went. White was for innocence, purity and black, black was for darkness and death. For more opposites attracting, all Blaise had to do was look over at his best friend Draco Malfoy for an example.

Draco was currently staring deeply at a girl all the way across the hall. Ginvera Weasley had somehow (which Blaise was still trying to figure out) managed to capture Draco's undying attention. He spent days watching her. Blaise found it amusing at first, but now…now it was plain irritating. He obviously wanted her, and wanted her badly and yet he refused to accept it. Whenever Blaise even mentioned her name, he was furiously stalking off.

Blaise watched Ginny Weasley too. She was completely aware of the power she held over his friend. Did she use it? Absolutely not. Did she speak of it? Never. That too confused and amused Blaise. Gryffindor though she was, she held more power over Draco who was considered the most Slytherin of all of them, which was another thing of opposites attracting in his mind. Gryffindors and Slytherins never communicated unless it was trading insults or condescending remarks. So why Draco was suddenly complimenting one of Weasley's (the female) spells, or even talking about that bloody hex she put on him in their fifth year was beyond him.

It was then, when Blaise decided that Draco was completely insane that he caught sight of her. Luna Lovegood. A beautiful blonde girl whose eyes were full of dreams, she was staring off into the distance, not quite seeing anything. Blaise sighed. He set his elbow onto the table and heard excessive amounts of laughter. He'd put his elbow on his plate. Draco then glanced at him and Blaise winced at his next words.

"Welcome to the club, mate,"

A/N: Like it? Hate It? Wish I would stop writing? It just kinda jumped into my head one day that because I love these two pairings (Draco/Ginny, Blaise/Luna) so much I should try my hand at writing one…Well there it is.
