I've decided to take another view on Ben's last episode and add a detail (aka Claire Kincaid) to it.
Now... Law and Order doesn't belong to me, it belongs to Dick Wolf and I'm here manipulating and playing with the characters!

"Oh my God..." Ben Stone said once again. There was a crowd in the bar singing Judy Garland and drinking but that didn't help to fill the empty space on him.
"What the hell did I do?" He kept asking himself. "A woman died because of… me". The alcohol was already going to his head and making his ears and mouth numb.
He looked at the door and Claire Kincaid appeared looking sadly at him.
"Hm, a friendly face." Ben said miserably.
"Come on, Ben… I'll drive you home." No one would ever imagine this was the last time Ben or Claire would be alive.
