It was the Valentine's Day at Hogwarts and as tradition half the students had made hearts (that represented their own), whether it was a paper cut out, heart shaped chocolate or even a transfigured rose, and hid them around the school. They would be hidden the morning before Valentine's and that night the students that did not make hearts scoured the school to find one.
On Valentine 's Day they would all stay in after dinner and try to find the person the heart corresponded with. That person would have to be their Valentine. It was rumoured that the head prefects cast a charm on the hearts before they allowed them to be hidden. That charm would help you to take up the heart of someone you care for deeply and vice-versa.
Remus held the heart he had found; it was a treasure in his pocket. He wondered who it could belong to. The jet black heart could unfold and opened up to a full moon, with a wolf or a dog howling underneath.
"Mine had a wolf on it. Did you find it?"
Remus' head snapped up at the voice.
"I left my heart in the kitchens! Anyone found it?"
The heart was Sirius'.
