Hey, it's me. First, I'd like to thank everyone who reviewed Thoughts By Moonlight and Blue Eyes. I really do appreciate it! This story is another character death (boy y'all know what I like to write about!) and it's sort of a Mimato. Mostly though it's Matt/TK. With a couple of my customary twists. And I'm sorry Izzy fans..*sheepish grin* It fit with the fic! This is in the future, when the DD's are all grown up! *grins* Anyway, here's da fic. Hope you like it, and please read and review! Sabriel
DISCLAIMER: Forgot this on the other two, I don't own Digimon! Just borrowing the charaters to write about. Don't sue me! Thanks!
Red Snow
Prologue
Izzy's eyes shone as he looked outside. Snowflakes floated softly past his window. The moon gleamed on the ice. It was a perfect winter night.
The man smiled softly. As he turned to leave the room, his gaze caught on the calendar hanging on the wall. On the square for Sunday, December 17th, 2009, was bright red writing. It read, Matt & Mimi at 8:00 for dinner. Izzy grinned brightly. Today was December 17th. Izzy already had chicken in the oven, and a pie was cooling on the stove. They would be here in half an hour.
It had been almost two years since he'd seen any of the former Digidestined.
It wasn't on purpose- with college, careers, and families, they'd just lost contact. Izzy himself was still waiting for a girl. He'd made a living for himself as a computer technician, designing software. From what he knew, Joe had gone off to be a doctor and was living in America with his wife, Katelyn, and his daughter Jessie. Sora and Tai had finally gotten together. They had become police, as had the pair Kari and TK, or Takeru as he liked to be called. It was something about wanting be the first to know if any more Digimon came. As for Matt and Mimi, the two had gotten married out of college. Mimi was a fashion designer and Matt had become a music producer. They currently had no children. Izzy was happy for them. He had always known that they'd belonged together, even though they had often denied it.
"Crash!" A sudden sound jerked Izzy out of his reverie. The noise had come from the hallway. Curious, Izzy went to investigate. What he found shocked him. It was the glass vase he'd inherited from his mother that lay on the floor shattered. What really surprised him was the dark red liquid spreading rapidly across the woodwork. A cold knot of fear formed in his gut as he bent to get a closer look. It was-blood. Izzy jumped back in revulsion. Suddenly footsteps sounded behind him. Izzy spun. He had only a glimpse of bright blue eyes and flashing metal before the man plunged a knife into his chest. Again and again and again and again………. As Izzy's world faded, he stared in stunned silence at the figure. His lips opened, ready to speak. "M.." But then the darkness invaded his sight, and Izzy knew no more.
Hee hee, that's only the prologue. Who would do this to poor innocent Izzy? What was he trying to say in his last moments? I'll try to have the next chapter out soon. I estimate that it should be around three or four chapters when it's done. Well, I hope you enjoyed it, and please review…..I love to know what you think of my stuff. And Sliver Wolf: I'll try to have a happy ending on this one. It's only the prologue!
