You start to walk up the steep hill at the edge of town at dusk. The old house on the hill is stable, but looks very weak. The windows are boarded up and some shutters are broken.. The towns people whisper as you grip your bag strap tighter. You finally get to the house's porch. The cool, refreshing wing blows against your face. Your hair points to the setting sun as you walk up the creaky steps. You face the door with an unknown feeling inside of you. You take a deep breath as you grab the cold metal doorknob. You start to get a bad feeling about this old abandoned house as you open he door. It was time. Time for ghost hunting.
It's nine thirty at night, you hold a flashlight in one hand, and a IR video camera in the other. You walk to the parlor room when you hear pots and pans rattle in the kitchen. You set a machine to record the sound in the kitchen. Before you know it, you're walking up the old stairs, which were missing some wooden boards. When you get to the second floor, you want o cry, but you hold it in. You turn to a room next to you. The only thing you know about this room, is that a child, a girl to be specific, died in this room. You hear crying and point your camera and flashlight to the far left corner. A little girl sits there, weeping. You hear the word Mother before you realize that the little girl was gone. You get that same unknown feeling in you and walk back into the hallway. That's when you hear a loud, high shriek. The unknown feeling grows with every step you take. You then realize that light has entered the windows, making more shadows. You grin as you run down the old, creaky steps. You pack everything up and head for the door. That's when you notice a lady, in Victorian clothing, standing in front of the door. She whispers a word you know, and felt during the night. Fear. The lady disappears when the door swings open. You scream and hear laughter. Your best friend is standing at the door, laughing. You smile and walk up to your friend. You also join in on the laughter as you punch your friend in the arm. Both you and your friend walk down the hill, leaving the old house behind you.
