"You know he's in love with her, right?"
Stan nodded, "Yeah."
The bus came and they were hauled off to school.

"You know she's in love with him, right?"
Stan nodded again, "Yeah, I know."
They separated and sat at their assigned desks.

"Then why do you keep holding on?" He asked as they got off the bus.
Stan turned his head to look at his friend, "I don't have a reason not to."
Kyle watched as Stan walked away, his shoulders slumped and his head down, "What about me?" Kyle whispered a second too late.
