Life can take you into many mishaps and joys. Life is sometimes cruel and horrible, but you have to look beyond that. But, sometimes, life just has its crazy moments.
It was a beautiful day in Equestria, specifically, in the Crystal Empire. The birds were chirping, the sky was shining, and the day was beautiful. The empire was shining brighter in the sky. It shined like a diamond in the sky. Princess Cadence was smiling brightly as she walked around her empire. She had just came back from her honeymoon with Shining Armor and she was happy as can be. Behind her tailed her husband, who was carrying a basket with food, water, and a blanket.
"Hurry up Shining. By the time we get there, you will be old and gray." She said playfully. Shining Armor rolled his eyes in protest.
"Hey, I have to carry this. Besides, I thought you said you wanted to take a small, slow stroll through the empire." He said as he trotted next to her. Cadence, who giggled softly.
"That may be, but speed up. Your walking slower than a snail." She said, smiling. Shining smirked and they continued walking. The empire was back to its original, happy state. Due to the Mane 6 having defeated King Somber and vanquishing him once and for all. After that, every pony was smiling and everypony was happy. The couple finally made it to there special spot, which was on a small hill overlooking the empire. They laid down and began to eat their food. After that, they just stared at the sun. Cadence layed her head on her husbands chest as they stared at the sun.
"I want to have foals." She said abruptly. Shining Armor was taken back by this but then kissed her on her head.
"Soon, I promise. Lets just relax for a while and think about it." He said. Cadence sighed and nodded. They couldn't relax long though, due to Royal duties and such. So they packed up, and began to walk back to the palace. Suddenly, cadence stopped.
"Sweetie, is something wrong?" Shining Armor asked. Cadence then turned and began to run in a direction. Out of confusion. he followed.
"CADENCE. STOP. WHERE ARE YOU GOING?" He called. Cadence soon stopped and looked down. Shining then heard the faint sounds of crying. He soon caught up to cadence, and saw her using her magic to lift a basket up. He looked in and gasped.
There was a baby but not a pony baby.
"What is that?" He asked. Cadence looked at him angrily, which caused him to back up.
"Look, I know its a baby. But, what species is it of?" He asked. Cadence shrugged and the baby touched her snout, causing her to coo over it. The baby giggles and used both of it hands to touch cadence snout.
"I think we should leave it alone cadence. Its mother might be around." He said but then cadence lifted up a note.
Take care of our little sam. It said. Cadence showed the note to shining armor, who went wide eyed.
"Who would leave a defenseless baby in the middle of nowhere." He exclaimed. The baby looked at him and began to cry.
"Real smooth shining, you made him cry." Cadence said as she hummed a small tune, causing the baby to stop crying and listen to her hum.
"Lets take him back to the palace. I'll get twilight, Celestia, and Luna to come see him. But, do you want to keep him?" He asked. Cadence never took her eyes off of the baby as she nodded, causing shining to smile and kiss her cheek.
"Looks like you got your wish." He said as they walked back with their new bundle of joy.
