The rain came down hard…

Bakura dropped the sopping wet load of letters on the kitchen table as he got himself a cup of tea. His best raincoat had managed to become soaked through, and his bones offer less protection. With a sigh and a sip of tea, he opened the first weak seal.

The rain came down hard…

The first letter came from his father. He came upon another great find, and was to spend more time in Egypt. It showed a carelessness of a rushed hand, and looked like it was written to an eight-year-old. Bakura knew that it was a while since they last met, but was it that long? He placed it cleanly to save for later, and went to the next.

The rain came down hard…

A letter from Yugi… Another mention of his great adventures. This was also saddening- a small girl joined him, but there was no room for him? Half of his party on the adventure are incapable of even basic dueling. It's too bad that nobody's running a powerful control deck… oh say something with Zombies? It's only one of the best decks nowadays… He shook his head wearily and searched for the next letter.

The rain came down hard…

This was odd… A note from Pegasus? Albeit their interpersonal relationship improved since the eye thing, but this was rare… Oh… It was a friendly stab showing all the Zombies and Fiends cut from the next set.

The rain came down hard…

Next… was a returned letter. He had sent letters across the world in search for family, but every time a letter was returned. It seemed as if the world was disappearing around him. Not that those letters mattered- there was exactly one person he wanted a letter from. But the only way to get to her was a Destiny Board. He threw the paper away in search of something else.

The rain came down hard…

Marik sent a letter? Bakura was confused- he didn't know the tomb keeper could write. Yeah… he can write… In ancient Egyptian. This proved as a complete annoyance, but the idea that he took the time to write made him feel better. However, the reason behind the letter was too obscure to be any consolation on being forgotten by the world.

The rain came down hard…

The next letter sounded strange. It was from some man by the name of Dartz, and it looked like it was a family newsletter. There was plenty of confusion as it seemed like even the youngest girl was aged in the thousands. He flipped the envelope over and sighed. "To Yugi Moto, Domino City, Japan." Of course…

The rain came down hard…

Ryou sighed as he warily observed the last letter. It was a neat letter and had an eccentricity- British postage. He raised an eyebrow- what's this? With an increased excitement, he opened the letter and read it. As he unfolded the sheets, a single card fell out. It was a letter from Miho! For reasons beyond his comprehension, she had taken a semester abroad in London to learn about the culture and she was now coming back. Apparently Yugi wasn't the only one to have some fun with threats to the world, and that she had some great stories to tell. Then supposedly she had some contact with Kaiba, and had some information about a doubles tournament coming up and suggested that he join her. Then out of curiosity, he picked up the card and smiled at the card and note on it.

Doitsu- You can't fight alone… Let me lend you strength.

The rain stopped as the warm sun finally appeared…
