The Great Explosion!

Setting
This takes place after Ash and Brock return to Kanto but before Dawn goes to Hoenn (they mentioned Dawn going To Hoenn in the special DP episode) ... and the story begins...
Dawn's POV
I was skipping down the route to Twinleaf town. I just came back from the photo shoot for Buneary. I could just see Twinleaf Town over the hill. Piplup ran in front of me and I ran after him. A few minutes later we arrived in Twinleaf Town. Pokemon such as Teddiursas, Starlys, Bidoofs, Chatots, Bonslys, and Hoppips were running around. Piplup went to go play with them, as he usualy did. While I was walking down the streets I knew so well, someone called my name. ''Dawn, hey Dawn!''. I turned around and saw my best friend Kenny running towards me. A big smile spread across my face. I haven't seen him in a long time. ''Hiya, Kenny!'' I said. ''So how did the photo shoot go, Dee-Dee.'' He said the last part with a smirk on his face. ''Don't call me that!'' I said to him, but all he did was smile. ''So where have you been since the Grand Festival?'' I asked him trying to change the subject. '' Well lets see, I we-''KA-BOOM! We both turned around and saw rocks scattering up in the air over where Lake Verity is. The wild pokemon ran off because of the noise and Piplup jumped up in my arms. A bunch of the Town's people ran out of their houses and stopped what they were doing. Some people even dropped glasses or bags because they were startled by the noise. Some people started talking while others stayed quiet even with the police sirens going off. We could still hear someone very clearly...
Kenny's POV
''I'm going to fine someone 10 thousand dollars for making that load noise!'' someone yelled from behind us. Even before turning around we both new who it was. Our close friend Barry, who else would it be... (XD) ''Hey, Barry over here!'' I shouted. Barry looked towrds me and Dawn and pushed threw people to get to us. When he got to us I could clearly see he was not happy. ''So whats wrong Barry? You seem.., um, kind of tense.'' Dawn said. ''Tensed, tensed, I am beyond tensed! First my Dad's ferry got post-poned because he's in the Hoenn visiting some friends and the ferry broke down, then my battel partner runs off cuz' of the giant boom, and now I think I am going crazy, because I saw some people in like wierdo robot-like suit things!'' Barry said, Hardaly taking a breath. ''Wait what people? Where did they go?'' I said. ''Oh I don't know, but I saw them run towards the lake a few minutes before the big boom...'' Barry replied making sounds with his mouth (like dogs do when the have peanutbutter in their mouths). Dawn and I looked at each other and I knew we were thinking the same thing, those people must of been the ones who cuased the explosion. Sadly, for Barry , it took him longer to figure it out. ''Why are you looking at eachother like that?'' Barry asked. We stared at him like it was an obvious answer. ''Don't you see Barry, those people must of caused the explosion.'' Dawn said. But Barry wasn't really listening. ''I know, they must of caused the explosion!'' Barry said trimphintly. ''Whatever.'' Dawn said then sighed.
Dawn's POV
Kenny took my arm. ''Come on! Let's go see what's going on!'' Kenny said as he pulled me towards the explosion with Barry trailing behind us.
