The apartment had gone into yet another uncomfortable silence as the two people caught their breath. The red haired girl and dark haired boy had both just had their third very loud argument in a week.

And it was only Tuesday.

They had only been together a month. Jason Todd and Barbra Gordon; the last people anyone ever thought would be in some sort of relationship, no matter how odd that relationship was.

"This isn't going to work." Barbra sighed sadly after what felt like ages. "We're too different. We have too many things against us. We can't go a day without fighting. And obviously we have a different set of morals."

"Hey, I've stopped killing." Jason pointed out.

"But that's all you've done!" She snapped back.

"I can't just stop!" He shouted, yet another argument about to start. "Everything I worked for will be ruined. All the good I've done!"

"Well I can stop this argument." Barbra said quietly, not at all what he was expecting. "We're just going in circles. I'm leaving."

"Babs, wait." He called as he ran over to her. Not once had she actually left. They usually were able to find a compromise and make up. This worried him. He wasn't about to give up on her. On them.

"No." She turned to meet his eyes and tears were already present. "I don't think I can."

"I'll change." He whispered, pulling her into a hug. He's never promised that before because he would never lie to her. "It will take a while to disband everything in a way that won't cause damage, but if you helping sure I can do it."

"Really?" She asked in amazement. She was an expert at knowing of someone was lying and she knew he never did. "Are you sure?"

"Anything for you." He said. She put down her bag and hugged him hard. "I know we have a lot of problems. But we're working on them. We'll get through this."

"I know." She smoked sadly. "I just feel like we have too much friction sometimes."

"Friction can be a good thing." He smirked as he backed her against the wall and kiss her hard. He put his thigh in between her legs and rubbed her hard. "This friction. This fire. It's called love."

"I'm pretty sure it's called lust." She moaned as she felt him harden against her stomach.

"Ok, yes." He smiled wider. "I'm in Lust and in Love with you."

"I love you too." She panted. He turned her around and led her to the bed to make up the best they could.
