Terra and Aqua walked through the over stalked yard, looking at the trees. There were big ones, small ones, short and skinny, and fat and tall trees. Everywhere the two turned there were Christmas trees. None seemed right though.
"See anything you like Aqua?" Terra asked. He grasped her hand knowing how she felt about being surrounded. Aqua shook her head vainly.
"Nothing" she said
The two continued searching through the sea of trees, and yet they couldn't find a tree that was right. They seemed to walk through all of the trees twice but still couldn't find anything. They were just about to call it a night when they saw the perfect tree.
The Christmas tree was short and small, barely coming up to Aqua's knee, its branches were thin and almost leave less but something about it just spoke to Aqua and Terra. The two looked at each other and without a word nodded to each other. Terra went over to it and picked it up.
The two went over to the counter and paid for the tree despite how the clerk's man had to ask if they were sure. They quickly took the tree home and put it on top of their table, wrapping a blanket around its base to make sure it stayed up. They decorated it with the few lights that they had and a couple of ornaments, along with a star at the top.
When they were done Aqua and Terra looked at their handiwork. The tree looked perfect to them, sitting on the counter and shining. They sat down on the couch and sighed exhausted not only for looking for a tree but they did a lot of Christmas shopping too.
Aqua and Terra had almost fallen asleep when Ventus smashed through the door. He looked over at the tree, not seeming to like it.
"Aw I thought that you guys were gonna get a bigger tree!" He said as he sat down next to them.
"But Ven we got the perfect tree" Terra said.
"Ya it's just like you" Aqua finished.
When Ven heard that he pouted and the look on his face made Aqua and Terra burst out laughing. Ven remained stubborn for a few seconds but couldn't help but break down into giggles. They all sat on the couch and laughed the rest of the night away.
