Warning-This poem is rated T, also known as PG-13, due to descriptions of blood, a character thinking that he was nothing more than a pawn, revenge, and other dark themes. If you do not like to read something like this, then it would be best if you left this fan fiction right now. My two Boxers will bite flamers who ignore this warning.

Pawn
Isabel Night

How many bodies did we accumulate?
While you played with us like dolls
Did you enjoy the blood splatter upon our blades?
The screams of pain--
Shrieks of agony
With bloodlust rising
As Anubis took the fall

Were we nothing but Go Pieces?
In that monotone game called war and life
Did you enjoy manipulating your strategic forces?
Yet willing to lose a few puppets on the side

Playtime is over
Never again to be a demon's pawn
Did you enjoy the little sport?
I trust you did--
You should be glad
For this will be the ending day of fun

Four hundred years of violence
Has shaped what I am today
Yet bloodshed can be turned on its operator
In a catharsis of revenge
Soon to set this used soul free

My blade comes down swiftly
As gushing anger guides my hand
I yearn to destroy what I have helped build
A petty hindrance--
To the being who murdered my leader
My emotions
Our friend

Ogre's blood mixes with water
It is my right to execute revenge
If not
I will plead this case before the gods
Surely permission will be given then

The clawed gauntlet digs deeply
As my black wolf's sword whispers from it sheath
Death must be a herald of change
If my heart is to thunder--
Dispel the darkness
Cooling hatred's smoldering rage
