"Well, what do you want?" Paris said again. "I don't believe anyone asked you to come. I certainly didn't. Do you live to torment me or something?"

"Look, Paris, I need to talk to Rory." Tristan said. 'Tristan?' Rory thought, getting up and making herself look presentable. "I know we didn't have a good summer, but I want to talk to Rory, not you."

"It's okay, I'll talk to him," Rory said stepping out of her room. "Hey Tristan, what are you doing here?"

"Well, when I deferred from college for a year, my parents got mad and cut me off." Tristan explained. "For a couple of days anyway. I remembered the last time they got that mad at me, it was your fault."

"Excuse me? It was not my fault you did all those pranks and broke into the safe or whatever you and your posse did." Rory said.

"I was only doing it to get your attention." Tristan said. "So, yeah, it was you fault." He laughed and sat on the couch. "So I decided to come back and reclaim what is rightfully mine. Who are you?" Tristan was looking at Willie, who was still there.

"I'm Willie. You're a jerk." Willie said.

"Willie, don't." Paris said, who was also still there. Why were they watching? Well, it was kind of fun to watch.

"You treated Paris horribly over the summer." Willie said. "She's great, who do you think you are?"

"Willie, you must be mistaken." Rory said confused. "Paris spent the summer with Professor Fleming."

"Sure, for the month of July." Willie said. "Until this jerk came along and she wasted the month of August with him."

"It was not a waste, it was fun." Paris said. "Don't be upset." Paris pulled Willie aside to talk to him

"It was fun, for a while." Tristan said, smiling his infamous smile. Paris sent him a death glare. "I'm just saying, it was fun for a while. Now, back to Rory. What do you think?"

"What do I think? You mean about- what were the words you used? Oh, right 'rightfully claming what was yours.' Yes, about that." Rory said. "No. I didn't like you in high school, and I don't like you now. You're cocky, mean and you obviously hurt my friend. So my answer is no."

"Rory, we belong with each other!" Tristan said.

"Apparently so do Jess and I. Oh, and Dean and I." Rory said. "How come ever guy thinks that I belong with him? Or, even better that I belong to him? I don't want a frickin' boyfriend, so go away!" Rory walked back into her room and locked it.

'Why won't they all just go away?' Rory thought. 'I want to be alone.' 'So run away.' A thought popped into her head. 'I've already done that though, and it got me nowhere. I just need to deal with it.'

"So, now you've talked to her. Go away." Paris said outside. Tristan almost protested but then gave up before trying. He walked out. "Now you can leave, Willie." Willie walked out and slammed the door shut. "BOYS ARE IDIOTS!" Paris screamed and went to her room.

How true. Oh, how so very true.
