Prologue

Forced to enter as part of the Yaruna tem, Kikicama was one of only two female fighters in the whole dark tournament. She was the latest mystery fighter for the Yaruna team. People walking by pointed and stared. She kept her chin high and her hood carefully covering her face. When the Urameshi team showed up Kikicama noticed the leader was asleep. The Urameshi team intrigued her. They had some strange members. She knew Hiei, but the calm, redhead walking by him caught her eye. He didn't seem to fit in with that bunch very well. There was something about him, the way he walked, the way he carried himself, and especially the way he talked to his teammates. All these things worked to shove him further and further out of the Urameshi team. *`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*`*

Kurama noticed the Yaruna team. They were easy to spot. They stood proud and erect while people passing by crouched to make them elves smaller. They had a reputation for always having a very powerful mystery fighter. He was also always easy to spot. All of their mystery fighters stand a little bit outside the rest of the group. Kurama was looking for the Yaruna team's latest mystery fighter and when he saw whom it was he stopped dead in his tracks and stared. His jaw dropped. Hiei noticed Kurama stop. Then he saw Kurama staring, which really got his attention. Kurama never stared, especially not in awe. "What is it, Kurama?" Hiei asked. Kurama half-way snapped out of his piercing gaze. "Look, the Yaruna team's mystery fighter is a female." Kurama said. "That's surprising." Hiei said. "Though I don't see what the big deal is. Kuwabara could probably take her."

Kurama shook his head, "no," he said, "The Yaruna team leader is not a fool. He would choose the best he could find. Man or woman, their mystery fighter will be good. No one should underestimate her. She may be a woman but she will be very good, I can guarantee you, she will be very good." Kurama broke his stare and turned to begin walking again. Hiei, however, looked at the fighter a little longer. He felt, for some strange reason, he knew this mystery fighter. Her midnight, black hair and bright, sky-blue eyes, both seemed vaguely familiar to him. Hiei would never admit she was attractive because she made him uneasy. Her eyes-kind as they looked-had ruthless fury in them. She stood with the same pride and wisdom Kurama stood with. She also had the same eerily-calm exterior Kurama had. Her eyes, they were what were so familiar. The hate, and furry, yet, the sorrow and concealment, she was very controlled and together. She had the look of experience, again, like Kurama's. It was almost as if two different people, or personalities, were there, in her eyes. Hiei wanted very much to see how well she held together in a fight. Just how well does this mystery fighter fight? Hiei could sense there was something more to this mystery fighter and he intended to find out what it was. He turned and continued walking to their room. They were, for the second time, the guest team. At least this time they would half-way know what to expect.

(A/N: OMG this is so exciting!! Sorry I am just a little over the edge when it comes to writing totally whack stories. Hee hee, I crack my self up! Well now that you all think I am a complete nut, I think I should tell you this story is not going to be very accurate with the personalities of the characters (like Kurama and Hiei ect.) because I haven't had a chance to watch the show very often. And my mom just canceled our satellite. So I'm very sorry, please don't gripe at me for that. OMG this is a very long author's note sorry about that too. Well 3 to all bye and be sure to read the first chapter oh and review please.
