Rukia Kuchiki peeked through the door of the closet. She had no idea why she was spying on Ichigo instead of hanging out with Orihime. Ichigo was lying on the bed flipping through his new manga book. Rukia had taken an interest in him for some reason.

She couldn't focus on anything thing else than him. She never even focused on her homework, instead she watched Ichigo.

My grades have dropped from A to D's

And I'm way back in history.

Something inside of her now longed for Ichigo and she couldn't help herself. But she didn't tell. Never.

I lost myself in fantasies of you and me together

Thoughts entered her head. Bad thoughts. Thoughts of rejection and not caring stood out and caused her to smack herself so she could focus on the orange-haired boy.

I don't know why-I-I but dreaming's all I do I won't get by-I-I on one mere imagination!

She wanted to rush out there and grab him and never let go but she stayed perched inside her closet.

She never felt like this before. Not even to her closest friend Renji.

She lay down and covered herself with her blanket. Rukia closed her eyes and waited for the fantasy with Ichigo in her dreams.

But I'll go crazy if I can't get next to you.

The next day at school. Rukia had written nothing on her paper since the beginning of the lesson. She noticed that Ichigo hadn't spoken a word to her. The teacher yelled at her to focus.

My teacher says to concentrate

So what- his name was Peter the Great

Ichigo looked over to see her staring and asked what was the matter. The response was just a stiff nod.

Ichigo nodded back and turned his attention to his work.

The kings and queens will have to wait

When they started to walk home, Rukia walked right up to Ichigo and told him the truth. Almost.

"What was that?" he asked, "You were mumbling so I couldn't hear you."

I wish that I-I-I could just walk up to you

Each time I try-I-I the same old hesitation

Rukia ran into the house and dived into the closet. She had blown it. It would never happen.

There was a soft knock on the door. "Rukia can I need to talk to you." It was Ichigo. She slid open the door and stepped out.

"Could he be confessing?" thought Rukia. No he wouldn't. He didn't feel the same back.

She looked up hopefully into his eyes and twiddled her fingers nervously as she felt a blush coming on. She turned away but to her surprise, Ichigo took her shoulders and turned her back around. "Rukia.." he began softly.

But I'll go crazy if I can't get next to..

"Rukia I like you," He said. That was not surprising. He probably liked her only as a friend.

Reading her mind, he said "Yes as a friend and a partner." He wrapped his arms around her and whispered into her ear, "But, I love you and I'm not ever going to let you go."

"Me too." Rukia whispered back and knew that it was true. The longing inside of her now settled down contently.

Rukia was now Ichigo's heaven to relax in. Ichigo was now Rukia's Earth to rely on.
