Squee! Hello everybody, again. I'm sure you're all wondering why in the world am I writing so much, ne? Well, many little one-shots are coming to mind. I hope you like it! Enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha.

Inuyasha slowly bandaged her shoulder and stared at the wrapped up wound for quite sometime. Earlier that day, after arriving at the nearest village when Kagome had sensed a jewel shard, they faced a oddly oni-demon, which was larger and bulkier than any other oni-demon that had ever encountered.

The end result of the battle, in which they succeeded in retrieving the jewel shard it had in its forehead, Kagome was hurt with its club that was swung at her before she shot it down.

Kagome's quick intake of breath broke his thoughts and he looked up to gaze into her eyes. She was still in pain from the wound she had received.

"I'm okay, it's just a scratch and stings a little, that's all." She told him to reassure him that she was all right, she wasn't killed, however, it didn't suit well for him.

Brows knitting in slight anger, Inuyasha growled lowly,"It ain't just a scratch wench." His golden-amber orbs trailed to stare at her now bandaged wound. "I…forgot."

Kagome blinked a few times, repeating what he had just said in her mind. "Forgot what?" She questioned, her eyes half-lidded in concern when he turned his head to the side.

Inuyasha sighed. "I forgot how fragile you are. Sure I remind you and the others, Miroku and Sango, that you are weak humans." Inuyasha paused to stare at her through his peripheral vision and switched his gaze to the setting sun. "I don't want to see you hurt and today, your wound could've been worse."

Touched by his worry over her and the others, Kagome placed a hand on his shoulder. This side of him was rarely shown around the others, but currently the two of them were by the stream, and they were in the village seeking for a place to rest. "Inuyasha, I know you want to protect me, but even if I am fragile, you need to understand that I can take care of myself. I've gotten better at handling a bow you know."

"Keh, 'course I know, but you're too clumsy for your own good," He remarked which ignited a small fire in her eyes.

"But that doesn't stop me from fighting," Kagome retorted. Inuyasha smirked and crossed his arms,"I can't stop you either." Kagome let out a small laugh, her hand moving slowly to place it over his. "I'm stronger than you think, Inuyasha."

"Tenacious or fragile, I'm still going to protect you."
