Rainbow Dash was performing. She had recently made the Wonderbolts and had become a fan favorite. After finishing the show, she sat down next to Soarin. They smiled at each other, and Fleetfoot announced that it was time for cake. Rainbow opened her mouth, welcoming the slice of cake when-
Brrring! Rainbow's alarm clock woke her from her dream. Groaning, Rainbow got ready for flight school. She brushed her teeth and mane, grabbed an apple, and flew out the door. She was on her way when she bumped into her pal, Fluttershy. Exchanging quick hellos, the pair rushed to school.
Their first class was flight history, one of Rainbow's most despised classes. She felt her eyes drooping as the teacher rambled on about the first pegasus to do 30 barrel rolls in a row. Rainbow Dash drifted off to sleep…
Rainbow was a Wonderbolt again, about to perform her signature sonic rainbow. "Ponies, are you ready!?", she screamed to the crowd.
"Yeah!"
"I can't hear you!"
"YEAH!"
"Eh, good enough."
Rainbow took off, going faster and faster. The wind whipped around her. Using her last burst of energy, she started to reach her final speed. With a loud crack, the sonic rainbow erupted across the sky. Rainbow landed, basking in the cheers from her fans. "Rainbow, Rainbow, RAINBOW…"
"Rainbow!" She woke up with a start. Her teacher hovered over. "Uh, yes?", Rainbow asked nervously. "This is the 2nd time you fell asleep in class this week! One more and you'll be getting detention!" Right then, the bell rang. Saved by the bell, Rainbow thought. She rushed out of class as fast as she could fly.
After school, Fluttershy met Rainbow to watch the Wonderbolts daily show. The girls screamed like fillies as the Wonderbolts performed their usual opening act. "Wouldn't it be so cool to be in the Wonderbolts?", Rainbow asked. "Yes, but I don't think I could pull off those fancy tricks.", Fluttershy replied. As the opening act finished, Derpy, the announcer for the Wonderbolts, picked up the mic. "Attention everypony! Do you want to join the Wonderbolts?"
"Yeah!"
"Since one of our Wonderbolts had a wing injury, YOU could be the next Wonderbolt! And remember, keep watching the Wonderbolts!"
The crowd screamed at the prospect of being a future Wonderbolt. "Omigosh omigosh omigosh! I should totally try out!", Rainbow told Fluttershy. "But Rainbow," Fluttershy pointed out, "Your mom will never let you audition! Remember what she said?" Rainbow Dash sighed,"I know, I could get injured or worse. I don't care! Being a Wonderbolt would be worth it. Let's go."
Well, I think I ended that too suddenly, but the next chapter is going to be much longer! Just in case of confusion, the cast is: Tracy-Rainbow, Penny-Fluttershy, Link-Soarin', Seaweed-Big Mac, Amber-Lightning Dust, Enda-Mrs. Cake, Velma-Gilda, Maybelle-Granny Smith, Inez-Applebloom, and Wilbur-Mr. Cake
