Chapter 1:
On a bright Monday morning, a teen with chocolate-brown hair and eyes was outside his family's compound, bidding his mother goodbye.
"I'm leaving now!" Rikuo called out
"All right, honey. Take care, Rikuo-kun and could you invite Tsurara-chan for dinner here tonight?" his mother yelled back from the backyard garden.
"Hai, okaa-chan. Ja ne!" After closing the gates the brown-haired teen, went off to pick up his girlfriend from her house, which was conveniently in the direction of their school.
It was the first day of 4th year high school for the two clan heirs. Rikuo Nura who is going to be the 3rd head of the Nura Clan as soon as he is of legal age. And his girlfriend, Tsurara Oikawa, the heiress of the Oikawa Clan. Although, the current clan heads of the two clans (their grandparents) disapproved of the whole ordeal of pretending to be humans, there was not much that they could say, seeing as the two were more than ready to take over.
A troubled frown graced the boy's features as he thought about giving up the life of a human when he is proclaimed as the new clan head. He didn't think it would be fair to his and Tsurara's friends if they just disappeared without a trace after graduation. And they also had to go to Toono to train, after they graduate, maybe even earlier. All these things troubled him during the walk to Tsurara's house.
However, as soon as he reached his girlfriend's family's compound, his worries were washed away when he saw Tsurara. She was wearing the official uniform for the school and a sweater over her blouse.
"Ohayo, Rikuo-kun!" she greeted him and gave him a quick peck on her cheeks. He, in turn, wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Ohayo, Tsurara-chan." He whispered into her ear, making her blush.
"Have you had breakfast yet?" she asked him
When he shook his head, she dragged him inside the compound, into the dining room where they had a quick breakfast.
Just as Tsurara picked up her bag, her mother came into the room.
"Were you two, just about to leave?" her mother, Setsura, asked
When they nodded, she gave them both two kisses on their cheeks and said, "Be careful, you two."
"Hai. Ja ne, Okaa-chan." Tsurara said and gave her mother one last smile, before disappearing out the door with Rikuo.
"Ne, Tsurara-chan?" Rikuo asked
"Hai?" she replied
"Before I forget, Okaa-sama is inviting you over for dinner tonight." He told her and she nodded
