A/N: Okay, hey guys. I'm pissing off a ton of my Code Geass fans by writing this, but ah well. I had a Junjou Plot Bunny, so sorry.
Pretty simple – my idea of what happened to poor Sumi after Episode Seventeen of the Second Series – "Many a True Word is Spoken in Jest." Enjoy! ^^
Disclaimer: I don't own Junjou Romantica. DUH.
A silver blade.
Normally, that was all it took to cheer Sumi up after a long day. He'd never used it, but just the faint reminders of what the younger Sumi used to do were usually successful in helping the teenager stray away from a bad decision of harming himself again.
Not today though. Sumi was done with playing around.
So close to stealing Usami-sensei's heart, so close to making his fantasy a reality, and once again, Takahashi Misaki had managed to screw him over once more. The silver haired male now eyed the spilled green tea, reaching down to finger a large shard of the broken cup. Sumi picked up the object, shuffling it around in his palm for a few moments. Its sharp edges had been successful in creating various small cuts along the pale skin. Accepting and getting used to the pain for a moment, he now clenched a tight fist around the shard, leaning his head back in response to the immediate pain. Human instinct should've made him stop and drop the harmful substance, but not today. Maybe along with his sanity, Sumi may've screwed up his own instincts. Currently too lost in his own thoughts, the male's hand unclenched, letting the shard fall out of his hands. With the departing message of a long, thorough gash, it clinked on the hardwood floor. At this moment, Sumi was more concerned with the cuts on his palm. The male dashed to the bathroom, opening the medicine cabinet in a worthless hop to find something to 'fix' himself. Instead, he laid his eyes upon a small razor. He stopped his frantic search and switched into a state of realization. He couldn't physically harm himself any further, but to see his Usami-sensei smile, harm had to be dealt to him in some form. For hours, Sumi Keiichi was honestly stuck on something.
"Oi, Misaki-kun! I have the pictures from the festival, if you'd like any." Sumi said the next morning, grinning like usual. Misaki looked confused at this point. Sumi knew the brunette had every right to be, but convinced him with a charming smile and a few random words. Misaki now scanned through each photo, laughing and giggling at their past foolishness. Sumi lifelessly laughed alongside him, trying to look sincere.
To see Usami smile, Sumi knew he had to suffer for what he did. What better way to suffer than to continue laughing through life while your very soul and heart are broken?
A/N: Whoa. Re-reading this, I kinda created a weird Sumi, didn't I? Ah well. The cutting scene wasn't so great, but how would I know how to cut? Freaks.
Yeah, a rather weird oneshot, but ah well. You were warned. Review if you want, but meh. I'm not demanding it for a change. xD Later!
