I made a oneshot for Remembrance Day / Veterans Day. I figured SNK fit into it.

They were standing at the gravestones. The graves of all their fellow soldiers they have lost to achieve what has been accomplished; to rid all the titans of the world.

The few surviving soldiers of the 104th stood before their fallen friends with tears streaking their cheeks. Some were full out crying. It was painful to think of the past, full of their smiling faces and cheery voices. It was hard to think of all the times they had shared over three years of training. It was hard to think of their deaths, having putting their grinning faces to an end.

How had their parents, lovers, children, and friends been told of their deaths? How had they reacted? How do they feel, never getting to say a final goodbye to their loved one?

As the survivors walked through the cemetery, they gazed upon the names carved into the grey stone. Pain stroke the hearts of every soldier. A pain that could never be taken away, leaving a whole in every heart.

Mina Carolina.

Thomas Wagner.

Marco Bodt.

Eld Jinn.

Gunther Schultz.

Oluo Bozado.

Petra Ral.

Ymir.

Jean Kirschtein

Reiner Braun.

Bertholdt Fubar.

Commander Erwin.

Corporal Levi.

Eren Jaeger.

All they knew who had died for humanities freedom. Armin and Mikasa stood in front of Eren's grave, crying. Historia sobbed for Ymir. Annie was curled up in a ball on the ground at the foot of Reiner and Bertholdt's. Connie, Sasha and placed flowers on Mina, and Thomas's stones.

The lives they all lived in the military changed them forever. Eren will never get to see outside the walls with his friends, away from the titans. Erwin never got to see their triumph. Ymir could never see Historia ever again. Mina and Thomas never got to join the Survey Corps. Even though, Jean can finally see Marco again. Levi can finally see his squad again. Reiner and Bertholdt were free from their burdens.

What the soldiers have learned was that freedom was not free. Their friends had paid for it with their lives.

Please don't hurt me for killing so many people off! Im going on a trip to see a play downtown next week! I'm also sorry because I'm not good at making longer fanfiction.
