At Sunset

The sun smiles at the land,
before her shining beam rests
below the earth's warm band
after Night's deadly caress.
Before her shining beam rests,
she bleeds a bright array of color.
After Night's deadly caress,
Sun's bright light sputters.
Above the earth's warm band
the sun smiles at the land.
