"We could always just leave it in, if that's what you really want?"

"Then hold still and let me – "
The splinter came free.
Christian yanked his finger away, whining as Syed patted his back soothingly.
"See, that wasn't so – "
"Don't touch me. You're a monster."
And with that, Christian shuffled out of the bathroom. Syed's laughter followed him all the way.
