The only thing that would put Caboose to sleep was a lullaby. It wasn't at first apparent that the youngest on blue team had problems sleeping. As time progressed though, Cabooses cheery face started to look haggard.

Church and Tucker thought nothing of it. Both of them had that same haggard look from being stuck in a damn box canyon for so long.

Then Caboose stopped talking all together.

No matter how much Church yelled at him or Tucker made fun of him, the youngest did not respond.

It was by accident one night, that Church learned how to lull the taller man to sleep and tried to never miss a night. Even if he was angry beyond belief at the other, he would still make sure Caboose could sleep.

Tucker knew, but realized keeping his mouth shut was probably for the best.

When Church disappeared the first time, Tucker tried his best to help Caboose sleep, but he was no Church. When Church finally got another body back and remembered everyone, Caboose was over joyed and tackled Church to the ground.

Everyone laughed and watched as Church yelled empty threats at the blue onto of him. Washington was of course, confused but didn't pipe up and just watched on.

Then everything went to shit.

Washington didn't know what to do about Cabooses a nightly wanderings. They started after Church left with Carolina and the ex-freelancer knew it had to deal with Church. (Of course it wasn't hard to guess when he could hear Caboose muttering on how much he missed his Church.)

Just like Church, he discovered on accident on how to lull Caboose to sleep. It didn't always help, but at least the taller man could sleep in fits now.

When Church and Carolina showed back up. There were no cheers, no tears, and definitely no hugs. Only Tucker trying to punch a holographic Church in the face.

Nobody knew how to really react around the two and they ended up camping in the swamp for the night.

A hissed threat from Tucker to Church kept the AI away until everyone fell asleep. It seemed like Church was the only on awake but he knew better. He watched as Caboose got up and wandered over to where he was.

Hope bubbled up and constricted him and it all came crashing down when Caboose shook Wash's shoulder and asked him the one thing Church thought would only be his privilege.

"Sing me to sleep?"
