Chapter 1:Run away
Hooves could be heard as I urged my legs to go farther and out the woods. My heart was racing faster than my legs could. I swear you could hear it from a mile away. Well you could if you were a vampire. No I'm not a vampire. Those horrific, demonic creatures were the ones that were pursuing me right now. They hunted me as if I was a mere rabbit running from it's prey. But they treated you worse.
My body was already sore from escaping from the castle. Bruises, cuts and scars enveloped my whole body with pain as I tried to run faster. I dared not look back, knowing they were following my bloody trail. My feet were skinned and my stomach ached with hunger. I stumbled over and collapsed. I needed to escape from being a slave for the master. But my body disobeyed. The world was whirling faster towards darkness. I am going to die. My escape from the castle was in vain. I. am. worthless. My eyes fluttered close, my world was dragged into a dark pit of death.
"Stop please! Please she is only a child! Take me instead!" I pleaded as I grasped my little sister into an protective embrace. A sharp pain exploded up my right cheek.
"Shut up you worthless girl! I am in charge here! And I am going to take her!" The slave owner bellowed. I held my sister tighter as I sobbed into her hair.
"Sister I must go. We will all die if I don't go. Please." She took after our father. Always straight forward, caring for others and accepting his fate. He did not want to sell us but he needed to take care of the rest of the family. He accepted fate.
"Aurora are you mad at father?" I looked down at her.
"Never. He..." I stuttered.
"He loves us." She whispered.
"Indeed he does." I embraced her one last time. Before I knew it she was being torn away from me. They jerked her away, her face red from whaling.
"Aurora!" I shot up, trembling. Cold sweat soaked my clothes. The moonlight shown through the velvet curtains casting shadows around the room. Wait, what room?
