Rating: K+

Pairing(s): Merlin/Arthur Bromance
Merthur if you squint

Disclaimer: Still don't own Merlin :( I've begged, but nope, it didn't work.

I snuggle deeper into my duvet, my knees under my chin and my cocoon of comfort wrapped around me like a cape. I groan in frustration, the noise irritating my sand paper throat, as the sensation to sneeze arises...again. I make a mad dash for the glass coffee table, and the box of tissues, just in time for the painful sneeze to rack my lungs, and cause a spike of pain in my chest. I cough in discomfort, throwing the tissue into the bin next to my make shift bed, and leaning back into the cushions. My stomach growls moments later, just as I get comfy. Letting out an annoyed sigh, I heave myself up off the sofa, duvet tucked around my shivering body tightly as I shuffle towards the doorway to the kitchen. I breathe heavily through my mouth, unable to through my nose, coughing pitifully. To my surprise, I'm not alone in the kitchen. My flat mate is looking away from me, stirring something over the stove. "What are you doing?" I ask him, my voice croaky, weak and far quieter that I was expecting. Arthur turns round in surprise, revealing the pink apron tied at his waist – a joke present from Gwaine at Christmas. It's covered with splatters of tomato soup. I chuckle softly, but frown in annoyance as it is cut off with a throaty cough. I grimace in response and Arthur gives me a pity grimace "Don't tell Gwaine I'm wearing this" He comments, pointing at me with a spatula, and gesturing me to sit down at the table. "I've made you lunch, seeing as you haven't eaten in about twenty-four hours" He says, pulling out a couple of mugs and pouring the soup into them before setting them out for both of us, carrying over a glass of water and some pain killers. I smile gratefully at him across the table as I slurp my soup.
"Thank you Arthur" I state with a smile, my fingers wrapped tightly against the ceramic mug, embracing the warmth that spreading through my body. He refuses to look me in the eyes, unsure how to respond. Eventually he clears his throat, trying to cover up his blush "Well, don't get used to it Merlin" he says and I grin in response, a comfortable silence between us as we enjoy the soup, well I can't taste it, but by the way Arthur's gulping it down, it's obviously delicious.

"AHCHOO!"

"..."

"AHCHOO!" Arthur looks up at me with frustration as I give him an innocent grin.

"Uhh..." I murmur stupidly, shoving the tissue box over to Arthur with a cheeky grin "You...uh...might need these" I state.

*TWO HOURS LATER*

"This is your fault Merlin!" Arthur growls, he is huddled on the other side of the sofa, wrapped in his own bundle of blankets, shivering, and glaring at me. I just give him a wide smile, feeling better than I have in days.
