AN: Alright, so this is a little idea I had for a missing scene after Ryan and Esposito leave Becketts apartment.

Ryan stepped out of Becketts apartment tears still in his eyes. Esposito was right behind him. Ryan was Esposito's ride home and he wasn't sure how well this would go. They stepped outside together into the cool air. Ryan stopped and leaned against the wall. Then he did something that Esposito wouldn't have expected: he pulled out a pack of cigarettes and lit one.
"When did you start smoking again?" Esposito asked curiously accepting the offered smoke. He wouldn't have usually, but it had been a long day. "I thought you quit because of Jenny."
"I did." Ryan muttered between puffs. "I started again when Jerry Tyson took my gun. I've been hiding it so that Jenny won't know."
"Do remember when you used to drag me outside to 'discuss the case' whenever you needed a smoke because the one time that Montgomery caught you smoking and he went ape-shit?" Esposito laughed.
"Trust me, I remember." Ryan chuckled. Esposito paused and looked at his partner. There was a faint bruise forming on his face from where Javier had punched him.
"Look man, about earlier..." Esposito started.
"It's cool." Ryan said calmly.
"No, it's not." Espo sighed. "We're supposed to have each others back, we're together until the wheels fall off, we're brothers, man, and..."
"Javier, it's cool." Ryan laughed. "Brothers fight, man." Ryan held out his hand to fist bump his partner. Esposito met him half way.
