Part 2: Zelda's Journey

Narrator: When we last left Zelda, she was in mourning for Link. She was torn to pieces over his loss. Let's see where this goes next.

A/N: Hiya again! This is the continuation of "The Return of Great Evil". Hope you enjoy it.

Chapter 1: Exodus

Zelda was still depressed. It had been almost a year since Links death, and she still moped about the castle like it was yesterday. Which to her it was, her mind had gone numb from the shock of losing him and she stopped on that day, continually relieving the final moments of his life. She made regular trips to his tomb, hoping the ever crafty Link would spring from the casket and hold her. But it never happened. She knew it wouldn't. She was fooling herself, and she knew it. She spent hours at night crying in bed. She just couldn't accept the fact he was gone. She felt she had failed; he had always been there; always ready to die for her, always ready to help however he was needed. And the one time he needed help, she had been powerless to help him. She knew she would go crazy if she kept up the depression, but didn't care. She had also in the course of the year, turned away every suitor that called. She wanted no new husband, she wanted her Link. She spent the whole of her time sulking. She sank deeper and deeper into a depressed state. Finally she decided to leave. She wasn't needed, as the king was still alive and the kingdom in good standing with the other kingdoms. She wrote a note to her father;

Dear Father,

I am leaving Hyrule for a while. I will go crazy if I stay here much longer. Please don't send a team out to find me. I have been trained by Impa herself, so I can take care of myself. I will return someday, hopefully in a better state of mind. I love you and will miss you.
Signed,
Zelda

She cried a little as she wrote it. She was honest and she would miss Hyrule. She left the letter on her bed, transformed into Shiek and jumped out of the window. She landed on the ground with a soft thud. She then turned and ran towards the marketplace, dodging guards the whole way.

{Now I know how hard it was for Link to sneak in here.} Zelda thought to herself. The thought of Link, young and innocent, brought tears to her eyes. She reached the market place by throwing a rock at the fairy's fountain. When the gaurds at the gate went to investigate, she jumped the gate. Even the market place seemed dulled with the loss of Link. She bought a few supplies, such as food and water, and set off for the forest, Links home.

A/N: I know that its short, but that is my style. Sorry!
