First Chapter| Harmonious Chaos

The darkness could be laid to rest; yet the darkness would always exist in the hearts of many. For years so many people tried and failed to be rid of the darkness in every heart in hopes of finally relinquishing the chaos threatening at the edges of every harmonious world. So many have tried and failed, driven mad by their own good intentions. So many had refused to come to terms with the idea that darkness will always exist. As long as there is light, there will be darkness; without darkness, there is no light. Without chaos, there is no harmony.

It wasn't the first Keyblader who came to discover the balance of light and dark. It was instead the last Keyblader who walked along the universe; his only intentions to save the family he'd chosen for himself. A boy of only fourteen may have wasted a year of his life searching for what had been following him the entire time, but along the way his life had been changed by the discoveries he'd made traveling for world to world.

He'd made new friends. He'd found old friends. He realized for the entire universe that the darkness wasn't all bad; it was needed in order for the many to coexist with one another. Just sometimes the darkness gets a little out of hand. Mislead strangers come to falsely believe that they could mold the darkness in their own hands, only to be controlled by it themselves.

To fight, and make them realize their destructive tactics did nothing but force them into deeper despair was not easy. They would only gather in groups of like-minded fools, too stubborn to listen, too blind by greed to see. In the end, the one chosen by the Keyblade could do no more than to destroy them, knowing that somewhere else there would be another blind stranger to do the same.

He couldn't expect to handle all of them by himself. That's why there were others; friends whose powers were considerably weak against the darkness. But because of their strong friendship and their unity, their power was doubled - no, tripled - by the faith they had in one another, knowing that together they would pull through to the end. Together, they closed the bridges to the many worlds infected by the maddening infection of darkness. For a time, the worlds were safe.

For a time. But even safety cannot last.

I realize this is rather short. I'm not quite sure where it's going to go.

But this is an adventure, we'll find out together!
