Okay people, this is my first try at a fic that's not book based, so I hope you enjoy it. I am a published poet, so I do have experience!
Kate's dream
Sand sends flickers of heat through my toes
The only warmth my soul has felt in months.
A thick layer of stars, unscared from society
Beyond, everything is black.
I wear simple clothing;a shirt, jeans
Yet, I feel like I am naked.
I feel like I am alone but,
if I turned around, there would be
the survivors
Im lost, in more than one way
But you stand there,lonely as well
I want to walk towards you
I want to know why your heart is so beaten
I want to know why for some reason I am drawn to you
So rigid, so dangerous.
Is that what you are?
Did you commit murder, like I did?
Was it an accident, like mine wasn't?
Your hands hold my face
then my waist
Mine, do the opposite,
they trail up your back
Is this an accident too?
God, how can this feel so good?
You know I'll be back tomorrow, and next
You know, against my will
I still want to please him,
but not in the way that I've been pleasing you.
Because, every night,
It is you.
It is you in my dream.
